If U do this for Mortal Empires throw it in with a sweet battle camera too ;)
DevilSlayer 7. juli 2018 kl. 5:46
The best aspect of this mod is that it sweeps in for a frontal view at low angles. No one has done that in TWWII yet :(

@Mekboy Reaper [BE]: I'm sure somebody will do it eventually :)
Mekboy Reaper 6. okt. 2017 kl. 11:34
@ Olympian unfortunatly i'm no programmer :p
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. 2017 kl. 9:21
@Mekboy Reaper [BE]: unfortunately I don't own WH2. Feel free to take my mod and port it to WH2.

@ Olympian Hello, are you interested in doing a Total war Warhammer 2 version of this mod ? :D , i really think this would be very handy since the whole game map is very big ^^
Mumion der Unsterbliche 11. aug. 2017 kl. 0:30
Ok Thanks
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2017 kl. 0:04
@1. Fallschirmjäger-Division: I don't think an update is necessary. The mod seems to work and I don't get a "out-of-date" warning in the launcher. Do you?
Mumion der Unsterbliche 10. aug. 2017 kl. 16:00
Update pls.
Vaeringjar 24. feb. 2017 kl. 19:26
thought it's good if want to take screenshots I guess
Vaeringjar 24. feb. 2017 kl. 19:26
this is terrible

I finally found the reason the camera angle was so awful

@Olympian
Well thank you for trying.
Hopefully a patch really does fix the bug.
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 30. jan. 2017 kl. 8:32
@Pimpin Pippin: Unfortunately I can't figure out how to fix it. I hope an upcoming game update will resolve the issue. Sorry.
Pimpin Pippin 30. jan. 2017 kl. 2:08
@Olympian
Any update on the camera resetting to the north issue?
The issue is really annoying, having to manually tune the camera position and angle after every turn.
Pimpin Pippin 8. jan. 2017 kl. 2:58
@Olympian
I have tried your suggestions with Classic Camera settings (both of them) but my camera still gets moved to some northern point.
No success in making the bug go away, regardless of battle/campaign camera settings.
Bob 5. jan. 2017 kl. 5:22
Fantastic mod, so much more control, well done sir :steamhappy:
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 27. dec. 2016 kl. 1:02
@Pimpin Pippin: Here's the result of my analysis.

1.
The issue only seems to be present when the campaign camera setting is set to "Classic Total War Camera" ("Options->Controls->Campaign Camera").
There's no problem when using the "Standard Total War Camera" setting.

2.
There's no problem if the camera is fully zoomed in before ending a turn.
The issue becomes more noticeable when the camera is moved away from ground level.

3.
Even when my mod is not active the issue is visible:
When the camera is fully zoomed out the camera position will shift to the north in the next turn.
I guess it's a bug/feature introduced in the engine in 1.5.
As my mod uses more extreme camera values than the vanilla version the issue becomes more apparent.

4.
And here's the bad news:
I have tinkered with the camera values a bit and I can't find a solution for the issue at the moment.
Given that this behavior even surfaces in vanilla there is unfortunately only little that I can do.

@Olympian thank you for checking it out and replying, and supporting this awesome mod :)
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 26. dec. 2016 kl. 10:42
@Pimpin Pippin: You are right, I can reproduce the issue you have described. I will have to look into it. Thanks for letting me know.
Pimpin Pippin 26. dec. 2016 kl. 9:44
This addon causes my campaign camera to reset to some northern point on the map on the start of every turn when i play as human empire.

Any idea why is that happening?
The Baron 25. dec. 2016 kl. 6:46
Can you make that the camera angle and zoom in will be like the original ?

Olympian  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2016 kl. 0:58
@:Nostrodamaz: It's still working for me. Have you made sure the mod is activated in the game launcher (green check mark)?
Nostrodamaz 1. okt. 2016 kl. 19:13
Not working at the moment for me, did nothing different from yesterday to today. Needs an update?

Glad you like it! I've been using your mod since you published it and I really appriciate it <3
Love how the Old World looks when I get so high up it seems like the world is rounded like a planet.
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 6. juni 2016 kl. 22:33
@Drax: Nice collections, thanks for sharing!
PoohPus 6. juni 2016 kl. 18:16
I haven't been successful in finding an overhaul mod that did more good than bad. So I've spent some time finding individual mods that all fit together and without conflict.

This mod as part of that collection and I thought it useful to share this menagerie of companions for anyone interested. I've tested them all with eachother and selected them because they fit very well together as an alternative to an overhaul.

Awsome mod! Thanks for making this!! :steamhappy:
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 31. maj 2016 kl. 10:14
@Cthula Hoop: Unfortunately there's no way I know of to directly modify the camera angle while in game.
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 30. maj 2016 kl. 22:42
@Decoy: If you mean the rotation speed you can press and hold the SHIFT key while pressing Q or E to make it go a little faster.
According to the control options menu it should also be possible to increase/decrease rotation speed by pressing SHIFT+PgUp/SHIFT+PgDn but that doesn't seem to work for me on the campaign map.
Decoy 30. maj 2016 kl. 18:41
I really love using this. It makes navigating the map a far more immersive affair. I will say, though, that I would prefer the turn rate on the camera to be about 30-40% faster. I don't know if that's something you can control, but right now, it just turns a little too slowly for my tastes.
Cthula Hoop 30. maj 2016 kl. 5:02
The hell can't comments be edited?

Anyway, the angle I'd like is the one when you click the "go to" button on an event. It stays at that angle until you try to zoom, then it snaps toward the horizon.

Actually, Is an adjustable campaign camera angle mod possible? That'd be pretty sweet..
Cthula Hoop 30. maj 2016 kl. 4:51
Really like the extra zoom, love the mod, but can I edit the camera angle? The looking-more-at-the-ground angle only seems to happen when significantly zoomed out.

Good man.
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2016 kl. 21:28
@Caligula: Good to hear. Thank you for testing it!

@Olympian Looks great, thanks.
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2016 kl. 11:36
@Caligula: Now the "Classic" camera is supported too. Let me know what you think of it.
SuperKingZak 27. maj 2016 kl. 7:52
This is Waaagh! :f1_crown:
GPM 27. maj 2016 kl. 5:31
Thats great thanks Olympian really appreciate that. Did not know there were xml files. Duh!

So potentially if I put the matched_combat_min_hitpoints_whilst_active 0 and up the other value to say a 60. This might make the kill animation happen more frequently, BUT it might also make the Lord units die quicker. Imagine Grimgor or a well known Lord dying at turn 5! lol
Olympian  [ophavsmand] 27. maj 2016 kl. 5:26
@GPM: I don't know anything about that but according to "Total War WARHAMMER\assembly_kit\raw_data\db\_kv_rules.xml":

matched_combat_min_hitpoints_to_initiate ->
"Percentage hit points remaining required to initiate matched combat."

matched_combat_min_hitpoints_whilst_active ->
"When taking damage from sources not in the same combat witness, remaining hit points is clamped to this value to prevent entity from dying and prematurely terminating matched combat."
