Thanks for the mod. As another reported, for my base in the New Arctic all the missions are in Norilsk.

Vanilla, no WotC, only DLC is Shen's. Mod is active with no conflict per AML.

@BigRowdy I feel you
BigRowdy 2. feb. 2022 kl. 6:48
Oh RM made this. One of the big three. If I would have realized that I would have subbed Long, long ago. Only 1/2 a decade late to the party...lol
WhisperingFishu 8. jan. 2020 kl. 13:54
Hey there ! I've edited the campaign so it takes about 3-4 years to complete so I'm actually trying to make the map bigger. I was looking at your config and noticed this:

[MoreCities.RM_XComGameState_WorldRegion]
ConfigX=0.002
ConfigY=0.002
UseCities=false

What does usecities do if I switch it to true ?
tiktaalik 19. dec. 2018 kl. 8:44
All missions in the New Arctic seem to be in Norilsk :)
tiktaalik 6. nov. 2018 kl. 13:54
So far so good in LW2. The only thing that I've noticed so far is in Western US, when the city/location is Greater 'something' Area, it only says Greater ... Area, without the 'something'.
Franimus 18. okt. 2018 kl. 18:19
Worked fine for me in LW2
Old Crutch 28. maj 2018 kl. 8:05
As per question below, is this compatible with LW2? On a couple of blogs I've read it can cause problems?
DewFuel 9. sep. 2017 kl. 13:36
don't unsubscribe from this one on an existing game, it'll wipe out all your contacts and make any new regions uncontactable
JameJame 7. sep. 2017 kl. 13:11
I've been running this with WOTC and I haven't noticed anything odd. I think its working fine..
Nasarog 29. aug. 2017 kl. 11:49
Willl this be updated for War of the Chosen?
_Zevon 29. aug. 2017 kl. 10:45
Does this work with the new War of the Chosen?
The Xennial 6. aug. 2017 kl. 23:06
This mod hasn't been updated for a while, does it still work as of august 2017 with LW2? Skimming thru the comments I get conflicting information...
aVeryLonePepe 9. juli 2017 kl. 12:11
Are there Czech cities?
Maverickan Devil 12. mar. 2017 kl. 10:30
@RealityMachinima Dude I would like to add even more cities to your mod, and I am already finishing the sorting of the cities on the regions the game uses. I'd try to add you so we could talk, but seen your profile and read about the randon invites, so pls add me in case you'd be willing to listen.
Good job on the mod BTW
ChesedNeb 6. mar. 2017 kl. 22:36
Is there a way to reset the geoscape after disabling the mod?
ChesedNeb 6. mar. 2017 kl. 13:04
This issue still persists for me.
Dragon32 6. mar. 2017 kl. 12:14
Ah, so this is revering to the original behaviour: pick a random latitude and longitude (or however it's done) then match that to closest city, including your new ones.

Panic over then :) Thanks!
RealityMachina  [ophavsmand] 6. mar. 2017 kl. 12:11
@Dragon32

By default the game will pick a random location in a region, and then try to find a city close enough to the point. Back before I realized the offset issue, I had the mod set up so it would pick a city location right off the bat to diagnosis why locations would be seemingly off by a consistent.
Dragon32 6. mar. 2017 kl. 11:27
@RealityMachina:
I guess this bit of the latest update is countering the issue Inspector Tweedums mentions:
Latest Update
[...] disabled usage of city locations for mission generation by default to minimize freezing.

But doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of this mod? Having missions generate in a more varied range of cities to the default?

Or am I being a bit thick here?
ChesedNeb 6. mar. 2017 kl. 0:37
This mod causes a freeze just before a guerrilla op becomes available. I would like to turn off the mod and get around the bug (which I did) but the geoscape ends up with missing border lines indicating different reigons and missing icons to click on.
Dragon32 28. feb. 2017 kl. 11:31
@Mr. Nice:
Think it's this:
Latest Update
Added a couple more cities from Poland: Lublin and Gdańsk.

Which'll get lost next time there's an update...
Mr. Nice 28. feb. 2017 kl. 10:38
Any change notes for yesterdays update?
Dragon32 27. feb. 2017 kl. 11:38
@Mondkohlrabi:
Doubt it's this mod, probably some others conflicting. Read this:
Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all
Mooncabbage 27. feb. 2017 kl. 0:30
Is this known to reduce performance on the strategy layer? When I go to the globe my frames die a horrible death.
CavityCommunion 26. feb. 2017 kl. 1:02
ok thank you
RealityMachina  [ophavsmand] 25. feb. 2017 kl. 22:05
@CavityCommunion It should be fine for a new campaign, that's for a now fixed issue I had with the mod previously.
CavityCommunion 25. feb. 2017 kl. 21:52
" (So in LW2 you'll need to wait a bit because LW2 spawns missions before you can detect them)" Does this mean if using a save game, played before this mod is added, of Xcom2 LW2 that eventually it will work while continuing to play?
Nitsah 7. feb. 2017 kl. 20:19
This mod doesn't make missions be more city in nature right? I have a bunch of map packs and I have a lot of citym issions lately lol.
Legendary Lawbro 7. feb. 2017 kl. 10:10
Have you ever thought about adding fictional cities like Gotham, Metropolis, or Raccoon City?
Mad Madigan 7. feb. 2017 kl. 6:34
I see that the latest update adds Billings, MT. I guess XCOM might be sent to rescue the Internet's favorite Doctor of Holistic Massage? ;)
marshmallow justice 30. jan. 2017 kl. 4:01
Mine never appeared in the ocean, but rather all the POIs/Events stacked on top of each other in each region that they were found in. Did anyone else get that, or just in the ocean?
Cato 29. jan. 2017 kl. 14:04
I can confirm that this issue is fixed in new games. (Restarted to use the Halo Weapons pack).
Zyxpsilon 29. jan. 2017 kl. 13:27
@RM.. soooo strange. Doesn't take much to mess things up. Even just a small typo took me HOURS to dig through when a simple HTML string refused to show up in LAByrinth. Yup -- we always need a fresh well-rested mind to deal with such heavy tasks.

INT or INI.. the file conventions can strike an atomic bomb into an otherwise solid set. It's the content that drives me completely nuts at times. :)
Eric_Kei 29. jan. 2017 kl. 12:12
Thank you for the quick update and the hard work!
srclamp 29. jan. 2017 kl. 12:09
Thanks for the update, was about to say i'm still getting missions popping up in weird places post update (South African missions near New Zearland etc, although a West African mission did pop in West Africa) but hopefully after a Long War week (which we all know feels like a month) Firebrand will no longer be getting lost!!
RealityMachina  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2017 kl. 11:54
@Zyxpsilon The offset I did in X2DownloadbleContent, actually, basically by accidentally using an int, I was setting all cities to have the coordinates of -0.04, instead of having their coordinates offset by -0.04 to have them fit pretty close to where they should actually be.
Zyxpsilon 29. jan. 2017 kl. 11:48
That multi-uploads adventure ( :D ) was all about the ""RM_XcomGameState_WorldRegion"" script file only.. right?
Cuz.. i'll also need a copy from Nexus (when ready) for qUIck_FLG stuff -- i think.
RealityMachina  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2017 kl. 11:44
@ADVENT Avenger

The update should be live, yes.

It should impact the next generated missions, but if you're using LW2, it generates missions ahead of time so it might take an in-game week or so before fixed locations start appearing.
Juravis 29. jan. 2017 kl. 11:38
Is it live (I got 1 mission OK and the other in water)? Also, will it impact immediately the next missions or the campaign is corrupt?
Juravis 29. jan. 2017 kl. 10:40
This mod is 100.0f% excellent.
Cato 29. jan. 2017 kl. 10:32
Thank you for the fix! I wondered what was causing my aquatic missions :D:
RealityMachina  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. 2017 kl. 9:45
Alright, should be completely fixed along with having what I had originally intended in the next hour or so.

Long story short, I completely forgot to make sure I had every number declared as a float, because declaring something as an int zeroes it out (because ints can't handle decimal numbers).

I felt very smrt once I realized what was the blunder that was wrecking everything.
Eric_Kei 29. jan. 2017 kl. 8:48
Same here. Western US missions popping up at where Midway should be, and farther north.
Audie 28. jan. 2017 kl. 23:28
Still doesn't work correctly after the update an hour or so ago. Even deleted the files manually before resubscribing. The issue still persists in both existing and new games.
srclamp 28. jan. 2017 kl. 22:57
Just reporting similar problem, mission was Eastern Europe but Firebrand (very slowly) took me all the way to eastern Russia! (also had the middle of the ocean location as well), Cheers
Zyxpsilon 28. jan. 2017 kl. 22:40
@Audie,
Possibly.. the "RM_XcomGameState_WorldRegion" UC script file will need a code revision since i am also stuck in Toronto (in every EasternUS missions) with LW2 City Locations parser & with permission, i *DO* use his booster code within my own qUIck_FLG mod.
Audie 28. jan. 2017 kl. 21:56
The most recent mod update from today seems to have completely broken the spawn locations for missions on existing saves. For example, mission spawns in Africa appear in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Tried uninstalling the mod, but that just causes all locations aside from the black market to vanish.
