to BLOOD REIGN: No one, is perfect. Perfection does not exist. We all have a couple flaws and cracks. Just like anything else, from a cracked piece of Sapphire, Ruby, Beryl, whatever, all the way down to the atom. Even an atom can not be truly perfect. It's okay man. Let go, have fun.

Not only is it not working as intended because I downloaded this mod to reduce bad traits and this mod seems to even increase them, it is not realistic or representative of history at all. this mentally challenged traits feature literally adds nothing to the game. For almost 10 years every single time I download Attila I wind up deleting it because it’s totally immersion breaking and completely unfun that literally every single character I have has a comical number of bad traits. It’s literally my dream to just get one faction member who doesn’t have any traits. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD JUST TURN THEM OFF THEY ADD NOTHING TO THE GAME. JFC WHATS THE POINT OF ALL MY GENERALS BEING MENTALLY CHALLENGED? For once in my life the RNG gods gave me a character with a good name (Flavius Theodosius) and I’ve been rerolling my save every day for 2 weeks trying to get him to spawn with no negative traits, and IT HASNT WORKED I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO ADVANCE MY CAMPAIGN FOR TWO WEEKS FFS

@BLOOD REIGN, it is working as intended. Half of your guys are misshapen cuckhold cowards no matter what x'D Pretty realistic as the ruler of early medieval kingdom

update pls

I can confirm this still works as intended. I just did a file compare with the script from the CA packfile and the only changes are the chance values for negative vs positive traits. Also, it fixes a lot of my frustration with the base game.

old mods (due to workshop file format used .bin files ) get unpacked (to a .pack file) and copied to the games data folder when u sub and then when run the game launcher (the launcher unpacks and copies them)

So when you unsub they don't get deleted properly and have to be manually deleted from the games data folder.

Mod launcher doesn't look at when game was last patched its purely date based

Been a few patches now in the past year. Mod manager has this mod flagged as outdated, does it need to be updated or nah?
stars2heaven 13 ian. 2020 la 4:41
Got it to work. I guess I have to do some things in a very specific order. Not sure exactly what it was since I tried all of these previously, but here is what I did: first I unsubscribed in launcher and in steam. Second, I closed, opened, and closed again the mod manager. Third I restarted steam and resubscribed. At that point the mod finally downloaded for real and showed up on the content folder.

I'm having trouble with the workshop downloading this mod. I downloaded 7 others just fine so not sure what's up. I've unsubscribed, resubscribed, restarted steam/launcher. It's folder never shows up in the content folder even though it shows it being downloaded in steam and even the mod launcher shows a little download symbol for a brief moment before appearing like the rest. I notice a few people here and there in the comments section saying the mod doesn't work. Makes me wonder if they actually have the same problem as me. Does it have something to do with the mod manager saying the mod is out of date?

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Nekcarb: This mod should still work as intended. As far as I know there hasn't been any new game patch since Feb 2016.
Nekcarb 13 dec. 2019 la 18:13
I know you're probably retired but do you have any friends or know of a modding community you could share this with to get updated? Please and thank you!

Mod needs updating
Gorgeous_Joe 9 mart. 2018 la 19:27
My personal favourite is the Arrogant trait its quite literally the design team giving you the finger for being too good at the game and winning.
Guerer 12 febr. 2018 la 8:09
is it normal to still get a lot of bad traits in legendary and sometimes even in lower difficults?? i've been using this mod for a long time and i don't think the game would be playable without it, the bad traits would ruin the game
wesloo  [autor] 31 ian. 2018 la 10:44
Arminius: I don't (sorry for my late answer).
Arminius 20 dec. 2017 la 21:53
Hey, wesloo! Do you, by chance, accept any mod requests?
wesloo  [autor] 4 sept. 2017 la 10:52
Caio: It should be working as intended.

wesloo  [autor] 16 oct. 2016 la 10:24
darion.austell: I'm not aware of any recent game update.. Is there something I've missed?
wesloo  [autor] 19 iul. 2016 la 11:24
Starlight: As far as I know you can't counter it. High age brings some chance for this trait to be triggered.
SimplySho 18 iul. 2016 la 11:18
so it happens regardless of what?
wesloo  [autor] 18 iul. 2016 la 11:14
Starlight: Flaccid trait is the first level of the infertile traits (Flaccid -> Infertile -> Barren). There is some chance for this trait to be triggered when a general gets old.
SimplySho 18 iul. 2016 la 11:00
do you know how the Flaccid trait is gained? I keep getting it on my generals a lot. I usually sack, and raze settlements
CromX 19 apr. 2016 la 3:03
Well I understand you do this for free, so as you wish of course. And I am in no way saying this mod is not helpful, it does impact other negative traits correctly and is a must have. I just have become frustrated with the harsh, unjust, and torturer traits becoming unavoidable. The only thing I can do to stop them is to reload the turn (which takes forever) after having turned taxes off, that usually stops the trigger. But I usually at some point miss the trait appearing and it gets saved. Which makes me stop the campaign and quit immediately.
wesloo  [autor] 18 apr. 2016 la 15:06
CromX: From my own experience I can agree that the chance itself is small but for the whole leader's life it's very probable to be triggered at least once. I will consider removing the tax related triggers completely instead of just reducing them.. But no promise :-)
CromX 18 apr. 2016 la 12:07
Fair enough but 50% reduction does nothing to stop these traits from inevitably happening. Even with this mod those same traits appear every time without fail. There are too many triggers for these ridiculous traits, in my opinion they'd best be removed. Or reserved only for when you actually slaughter the enemy. These are the worst offenders of negative traits and they still happen seemingly as fast at 50%.

A normal tax rate should not trigger these traits at all. It should be reserved for the "harsh" tax rates above normal.
wesloo  [autor] 17 apr. 2016 la 7:46
CromX: This mod reduces (by 50%) the chance of the Harsh (Torturer, A Byword for Cruelty) and Unjust (Justice for None, Tyrant) traits apperaing for your trait leader because of the tax level. So they aren't prevented completely. Also please take into account there are other triggers for these traits (for example post battle slaughters or enslavements).
CromX 16 apr. 2016 la 14:21
As far as I can tell this mod does nothing to prevent or even slow down, Harsh, Unjust, and Torturer traits from appearing for doing absolutely nothing to earn them. Would have been a good mod had it addressed these in particular as they are the worst offenders. A normal tax rate should never trigger these traits at all.
wesloo  [autor] 2 apr. 2016 la 14:39
Spartan Jamez: Thanks a lot ;) But I think separated mods are probably better way because anyone can choose just the changes they want.
Raynor 2 apr. 2016 la 8:27
I'm sure this has already been ask. But can you merge all you mods? I really love your mods BTW must haves.
Avocadolf 5 mart. 2016 la 2:39
I want to say "Danke"
wesloo  [autor] 5 mart. 2016 la 1:27
Divus Thomosius: As I said below it should be :-)
Avocadolf 4 mart. 2016 la 22:16
It is compatible with Radious?
wesloo  [autor] 25 febr. 2016 la 11:14
Updated for the new patch. No changes was needed actually but because the mod manager thinks it's outdated I reupload the mod to avoid this.
IT'S A TRAP! 25 febr. 2016 la 3:43

Both should be.
Hil1Bil1y 11 febr. 2016 la 15:46
Hello, is this mod and the Child Chance Tweaks mod compatible with Radious?
