I can't seem to import decal.obj. It doesn't load, and I have no clue how to troubleshoot this further. When I click continue, I just get an invisible prop. Anyone know why this might be happening?

Textures (_i and _c) work well, (_n) doesn't work.

Thanks for your work and guide! Can I use other textures? (_n,_i,_s)
1. A diffuse texture (decal_d.png)
2. Alpha texture (grayscale, decal_a.png)
Then you will need a simple 3d model. It is always the same one: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/imjkt0idf7sazx7/AAD0zNgVwSDqCyMJKBlx-Dh2a?dl=0
You put all the files into the Import folder and load them into the asset editor.
Then you have to run a little script with Mod Tools (by Bloodypenguin) that converts the prop into a decal prop: https://gist.github.com/boformer/eead42035bac7862081f

If you want, start working on the textures. I will share the model and the script tomorrow.

There is no rendering.
Key points. The file conversion. skp-> obj-> fbx
It is just to learn SketchUp. Everything in SketchUp. Modeling and mapping.
The value of the option to convert the file, I'll tell you. anytime.
I learned one months SketchUp. I learned the basics. You really like it, challenge it. SketchUp video? In the YouTube. :)

I don' know which 3D software you are using, but in the 3d scketchup warehouse there are tons of really good textures, but i don't know yet how to render in sketchup. And which is the category of this tiles/textures in CS? As @sepij said, you could write a guide on how to make this little awesome assets. And last this page https://www.arroway-textures.ch have good textures and came with specular and bump channels, but i don't know if it's useful for you. Anyway, thanks so much.
