I did try to place them where they actually are! Glad you like it.

It stood out to me the most when you put the highways where they are fr. I live here so this is actually gonna make the game even better for me

This map looks good. The only thing i see that i want to offer feedback on is water level. I find a lot of maps have costs/rivers that either end up with cliffs or slopes and it makes it look terrible to put down things like the marinas or piers. I prefer when possible to make the water level as close as possible to ground level.

I took a trip to Seabrook once and we drove up to Charleston for the day and visited Patriot Point. I kept begging my parents to drive to Sullivans Island and or Morris Island because I love lighthouses and I really wanted to see the lighthouses on those islands. the sad thing about morris island lighthouse is it's standing in the ocean and in danger of falling it was deactivated in 1962 when the interesting looking Sullivan's island lighthouse was built. here's an image on the website dedicated to saving the morris island lighthouse {ENLACE ELIMINADO} Let us continue to pray for this old soldier who has weathered many storms.

not if you want 'realistic' and 'mountains' in the same sentance. it's called the low country for a reason, you dont start seeing anything more than small hills till you get north west past columbia.

My favorite map in Cities Skylines. Thanks for this !!
Is it possible to make an updated version of this with realistic mountains, maybe on the edges of the map?

It would be cool if someone uploaded both Morris island lighthouse and Sullivans island lighthouse

nice job!

I might be the only one, but I actually delete the starting intersection. I find it easier to make my own to suit my needs.
Flipz  [autor] 6 FEB 2016 a las 15:15
You make a good point. I don't have that. Right now its kinda up to the user to make their own intersection... I will make that change in my next update. Thanks
Jamalack 6 FEB 2016 a las 1:49
Hey just a quick question. Is it me or is there no real 'starting' point? Like a place where the highway ends in a tile, so you can connect it with a smaller road. Otherwise a very nice map!
Flipz  [autor] 3 FEB 2016 a las 22:30
I'm glad you liked it geekintransit! I just made some major updates so let me know what you think :steamhappy:

No problem Christabel, glad you enjoy it :)
Christabel 20 OCT 2015 a las 12:24
As someone who is severely homesick for Charleston? Thank you. <3

(Now, if only I could make the college 'The Citadel'.
glargl 19 OCT 2015 a las 15:36
I tried to create a Savannah map -- it didn't turn out well. Given the size constraints of Cities skylines, Savannah just appears as a flat , river town. Not tremendously interesting.
Flipz  [autor] 16 OCT 2015 a las 22:49
Im glad you liked it Roush! Southern cities are the best. I do plan on doing Savannah. I went to SCAD so it would be only right :P
roushmiata 16 OCT 2015 a las 15:33
Great map. It's nice seeing love for southern cities. Could you possibly create Savannah as well?
Flipz  [autor] 16 OCT 2015 a las 9:21
Oh, and I would love to find historical Charleston/Savannah homes. I'm using some of the workshop ones like the firestation on the front page. Looks kinda like Charleston.
Flipz  [autor] 16 OCT 2015 a las 9:18
Thanks man, really appreciate the comments!! I'm glad that you liked it. I'll work on it today and definitely use these links to redo the forests. You are right in noticing that I've had issues creating natural tree line/forest structure. I oddly find the trees the most difficult part but the rivers were fun!!
MrMiyagi 16 OCT 2015 a las 8:53
Sorta like this looks like, near Florence SC. Great map, again! All that intricate river work would have driven me crazy https://www.google.de/maps/@34.4289025,-79.7683933,4458a,20y,40.87t/data=!3m1!1e3
MrMiyagi 16 OCT 2015 a las 8:44
Cool! Thumbs up! Now we just need someone to be able to model some classic Charleston / Savannah type historic homes!
I have an idea for your forests that will look natural yet also keep you from going over that blasted tree limit. Make your forests into distinct clumps, as in leaving totally green areas, and then totally forested areas, but since it's in that region make them a bit "fuzzy" on the edges rather than these strictly defined borders of the forests. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/617347983775367810/AED6C26D783DD6FE78B3A33456426359F1A0B440/
Flipz  [autor] 16 OCT 2015 a las 1:54
Thanks for that feedback, I can add some more forests!
kangaroo 15 OCT 2015 a las 14:12
I think only trees around the water looks pretty weird and no real forests anywhere but I will still give it a try!
Flipz  [autor] 14 OCT 2015 a las 19:24
Please rate if you enjoy the map!! Any feedback is appreciated :insfist:
