Wow,I think it must be the most complex interchange I've ever seen. How crazy it is !
Asdalotl 15 apr. 2021 la 19:49
This is one of the funniest, most over-the-top interchanges i've ever seen. I love it.

I usually find myself doing a 4-way or 3-way C/E to a more regular network, and additionally for practical reasons I find myself using basket weaves close to the C/E since they're not connected directly. How difficult would it be to achieve a combination C/E interchange with integrated basketweave, and/or u-turns? Is there a real intersection I could base any of this off of?
LaManchaGoat 28 apr. 2019 la 15:24
I see this whenever i'm in Texas
xx 21 apr. 2019 la 16:10
Ah, just a typical Dallas interchange.
Lucifer69 2 mart. 2019 la 18:55
If someone evil man actually built this in real life... even the gps would commit suicide.

I like using this one as a sorter. Do not route industrial through this. Residential, and maybe some commercial, traffic only. Unless you want to see rush hour.
Cornwall Du Poura 18 dec. 2018 la 22:02
could there be another one like this where it branches off/ or connects the stech of highway
RainbowSkyDancer 13 oct. 2018 la 12:39
I'd get sensory overload if I drove up to that ... thing. Good job :).
RaceRed302 1 iul. 2018 la 12:15
There is no way I could drive this in real life, I would be totally lost, even with GPS.
motormundo2.0 5 apr. 2018 la 1:24
de veras esto vale para algo ?¿?¿

这真是丧心病狂……
linden 18 febr. 2017 la 6:40
If that was irl, I would probably get lost. In one intersection. This thing is amazing!
Axefork 7 ian. 2017 la 17:51
If I drove up to that in real life I would drive into the hard shoulder and cry, good job though
Norfei 3 ian. 2017 la 16:34
Man, I'd die in that thing in real life. You're amazing thought :)

Should make a video of this being efficeintly connected up :)
-.M.- 19 iul. 2015 la 3:57
I'm sorry, but honestly I can't see why you should have 2 highways going same direction..?
BayneRav 27 mai 2015 la 12:29
can someone say overkill?
duxup 22 mai 2015 la 9:11
Outstanding interchange for high traffic. Thank you! (please consider updating so we can see it in the thumbnails when selecting from the asset menu)
mndfreeze 17 mai 2015 la 6:37
Timboh are you ever going to make/fix the menu icons so you can tell what each thing is without having to mouse over each one in a looooonnng list. :D I dont get why so few people do that part but some do, so obviously you can. Thanks for the great pieces btw! You should consider doing a raised version of each also, for those of us who always run our highways raised one level up.
Gril Penetration Unit (GPU) 3 mai 2015 la 3:42
that moment IRL where you come up to an interchange like this and you dont have a clue which way to go...
Timboh  [autor] 15 apr. 2015 la 10:41
@abc333: Yeah, I've noticed I'm a bit sloppy with the ramp directions sometimes. My bad! Unfortunately I still can't fix or make any new assets until Colossal Order fixes the elevated road bug in the asset editor. I get very frustrated when I make errors like these, because I feel so stupid, and it doesn't get any better when I can't even fix them. I'm sorry for this, but there is nothing I can do at the moment until the devs sort out the bug.

I'm glad you like the interchange, even though I'm being a colossal arse by unintetionally uploading broken versions :D
abc333 15 apr. 2015 la 6:33
I found a bug, this road should have its direction changed:

Besides, it's very good and very useful intersection. I used it in my newest city and it works perfectly.
TheOklahomie 12 apr. 2015 la 18:52
I haven't played city skylines....but after seeing this I want too!
RoK_ 11 apr. 2015 la 18:32
wouldn't it be possible to turn the cloverleaf-section into a windmill to get rid of the weaving?
quick draft
btw i somehow couldn't get rid of some of ramps so they are still there. The idea should come across anyway :)
mutations o.k. 11 apr. 2015 la 16:30
im gonna google collector/express. ok thats interesting and ... do train tracks do stuff like this? im sure they can, but do they
anyway i think this is cool
Big Kev 11 apr. 2015 la 14:09
I think I came a little in my pants
Timboh  [autor] 11 apr. 2015 la 11:11
@Astafar: When you have long sections of collector/express systems, you often have problems when two C/E systems cross eachother. If one were to use a conventional interchange design, you would have to either end your collector/express system before the interchange, which would result in unnessesary bottlenecks and lots of weaving, OR build your collectors around the interchange, which would mean that traffic in the collectors would not be able to exit the mainline. If solution 2 is picked, the problem can be remedied with four basketweaves at each side of the interchange, which takes up alot of space. This interchange resolves almost all of these problems by combining almost all possible movements in a single interchange.

Yes, this might look like a pretentious pretzel, aestetics are subjective ofcourse, but I can assure you it does the job it's meant for. ;)
DonniDalmer 11 apr. 2015 la 10:18
hey timboh since u are so awesome at making cool looking and still fuctional road patterns/intersections i thought maybe u could do me (and probly allot of others) a really big favor and make a sort of cloverleaf intersection just not as intersecion but with some other roads so u can use it in the city.
thx in advance
ps. sry for bad grammar
aNOOBis of ZA 11 apr. 2015 la 10:18
What's wrong with giant pretentious pretzels? I happen to like pretzels. Sheesh.
Astafar 11 apr. 2015 la 9:25
This seems incredibly unnecessary. You wove two sets of highways into into a giant pretentious pretzel. If you have THAT much traffic bottlenecked into one spot, your city is probably shit anyways.
Brandon 11 apr. 2015 la 9:17
thank you very much, I had problems with traffic and very difficult to manage
