Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on Source 2. And if I were to port to Source 2, it would be better to do it from scratch rather than use this particular map, where I had to compromise to implement certain areas.

Hi, I just discovered this map and was very impressed. Love the details and authenticity to Mass Effect. I was wondering, would it be possible to port this map to SteamVR? If so, would you consider it? Forgive me if it's a stupid question, but I'd love to have this as my SteamVR Home.

One of the reasons for the crash may be that the lowest settings are selected, due to which the game cannot find LODs for models and crashes. Even at the moment of creating the map, any coffee maker could run Garry's Mod at maximum settings, so I am not going to test the performance on something weaker than a microwave.

This map should be on VRChat Also not sure will this map i loading will crash my PC not?

that's interesting. i honestly wish there were more maps from mass effect. feels like its really lacking in that department, id honestly would like to see the sliverstrip on the citadel with the combat arena. or even the levels of omega when you had to help aria take it back. there's only a few mass effect maps plus this map. just not as detailed tho. i can only image making a whole citadel map as a whole though that would take a while to even make.

Speaking of Donovan Hock' mansion, I started making this map, but abandoned it due to the many shortcomings of this engine. There are a lot of different anti-aliased and curved meshes, and the source engine does not work very well with model lighting, it would not be nice to make brushes out of brushes. Also, only for ME3 there is a program that can export the level to a 3D editor, which helped me a lot to transfer this apartment.
I was also asked to move the interior of the Normandy, but I think it will be a very large long-term construction, such as a yacht from gta v, which took two years and the work of three people.

there is a few maps that could, like Donovan Hock' mansion, liara's apartment from ME2. map of illium, the shadow broker's ship theres a few maps now i think of it that people would like to see/have lol.

I doubt other maps are mostly ordinary "space" boxes that few people need.

will you make other detailed mass effect maps like this one? or will this be the only one we will see this detailed?

I Used No Addons On This Map And The Dosen't Load

It's strange. I have now subscribed and tested on a clean build of gmod with no other addons. Everything works correctly. Try disabling all other addons. Perhaps one of them is doing something wrong.

no idea, all I do in gmod is check my maps or models, I don’t play different modes and don’t dabble with new npc and vehicles)
