@jordan4258 While I would be honored to manage a project like that, that idea has been pursued before. Unfortunately, lots of asset custody battles were a direct result those teams being disbanded and their projects failing. Again, I'm not opposed to it, but given the damage years ago, and the differences between the creators, it's better not to get involved with it (at least for now).

is it possible you can do the same mod but for the Left 4 Dead 1 beta? it be really a cool mod and it be easy to install without having to find a collection for mods to recreate it LOL.

@Piškóta Multiplayer is already an option, however, you need to locate that in the extras menu. This was an error within menu strings for the current update and will be patched out in the next one.

Will the multiplayer option available soon? Or never >:D?

@Spirty We have a few minor ones in the current patch, and still plan to add more. It's hard to pinpoint bugs during the E3 build due to the limitations of the footage, but the intent is to add them all to maintain its faithfulness to the original product. However, these bugs will not be included in the Online Edition.

@officer_balls Yes, I am aware it was removed a while back and it was unfortunate to see. But it's because of that project's existence (during that time) that L4D1 Beta Pack seized development.

@Gigan the left 4 dead zero project got canceled a while ago, I also understand it would take a lot of work to make a project like this.

@officer_balls This was a subsidiary project that was in development back in 2013. I seized all L4D1 Beta related content in 2014 due to the L4D0 Project. Check our project's website blog for more details on its closing.

@i shit my pants I can assure you that the menu background was never organic to the Steam VPK file. The item may have been linked as a required bonus item a few years back, but that was before we established the enhanced folder in the GameMaps version. Regarding the font, that should be included still, however, you need to do a quick video setting resolution reset on your game (ex. set your video to widescreen and revert it back - the font should activate). If you want the official approach, the GameMaps version gives instructions on how to automatically enable this font through gameinfo.txt so that you don't have to repeat this process every time you launch the mod.

Installing the GameMaps version does require you to open zip files since the VPK is a much larger file (also the same reason why the Steam version requires two separate parts).

@Gigan ok so 1. last time i tried this WITHOUT gamemaps it was there so why did you just take it away for it to be gamemaps exclusive.
2. quick check but does installing gamemaps things require zipping folders and vpks and all that file crap?

@Roasty My Toasty As of right now, you have to go to Extras > Play With Friends > Create Lobby, then select your favorite survivor. We plan to fix this in the next patch.

@Femboy The third ''swing'' animation for the fire axe is still in the mod, it just plays in specific scenarios, simillar to how it worked on E3 2009.

I found it, I just wanted to play the full map with all the mods active, also the fire axe no longer has its cut swing animation?
