Looks like your illumination map is not working properly now with after dark. the signs appear to hav part of the new random lighting effect change.... for color diffuse they should be below 120 now.

I'm actually of thinking of building a somewhat mirror Albuquerque. However, I'm playing this on an Intel Integrated Graphics laptop that cannot run the amount of tiles Albuquerque needs (On Terrain.Party, I believe it's 28km), and the city map itself. If there was a desert themed map, and if I ever get a new computer, I'd like to attempt to build it.
