It still does not work. I cannot even decompile the model with crowbar as it throws an error that the .mdl file is unrecognizable. Can you upload your 'fixed' version?

So, I know how old this is but just in case someone's using this today and you get an error:
1.Navigate to [SteamDirectory]\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\models\props_movies
2. You should see a file just called 'ashtray', or 'ashtray.mdl'. As in, its name is Ashtray, and the file extension is mdl. Because of some ♥♥♥♥ up, you need to rename it to 'ashtray.mdl', meaning the end result will be a file called 'ashtray.mdl.mdl'
3. Rescan in SFM, and voila, no more error.

Dunno why but it comes up as an error for me.

The ashtray was very useful, so I had to make a SFM Poster with that in it.

In the body section, theres a rootTransform, and then another called ROOT??

When I go to select the model, it keeps giving me a big red error. Not sure if you have had this issue before, or if it's on my end. Nice job on the model though!
