as the autosave now stops the game from working and I cant access my save anymore
- I have almost top end PC, so speed is not a problem
- after uninstalling this mod I was able to recover the save and continue playing, but the car I was traveling with at the moment of save did not recover (when mod was still installed and I loaded the save the car was still present)
- with mod installed and error in place I was not even able to quit game via menu - the menu options dissappeared when I selected to quit the game, but nothing happened
Either way, it may also just be the game freezing real badly (like I explained in the description) due to how the save system works just in general. This is my first ever mod so it's not perfect at all, if anyone else more experienced wants to use it as a base, they're free to! (Credit is appreciated though)
Also shorter intervals would be cool like every 6-12 hour options saving
Thanks for the mod. Playing on a crappy pc this gives me peace of mid that if i die from a lag i can at least rollback.
Same thing like Equilix | Doom, I cannot find the setting in Mod Options.
I followed your instructions to a proper end, but It feels like I'm a old man since it's not working...
I tried resetting, reinstalling, mod order changes, etc. Yet it doesn't appear.
I am using Build 42 and did the correct things, but it seems I've failed either way.
Thank you for reading and I hope I can help if I am not clear on anything!
When you will make message about "save start" you could type something like:
Starting Saving . . .
(If it takes longer than usual, don't panic, don't touch anything, just wait until its done)..
The strange thing happend is - when it was in saving process. It was like 5 minutes or longer, when it saving for that long you probably start to panic a little bit.
If you open windows task manager, it shows that PZ using around 3.0 mb/s of hard drive (my game installed on HDD). Then, there a another process called: Microsoft Windows Search Indexer what eats a lot of HDD usage (around 5-8 mb/s) for no good reason. And knowing that microsoft never updated this crucial part of the system, and its works awful nowdays in compare with other third-party program (like "Everything") what does indexing much better.
Also, about the multiple times options... I guess I could consider it. The message before the game starts saving is a good idea as well. Thanks for the feedback once again!
And as i see, after saving it created save with _auto prefix. It would be perfect if it would save up to 3 backups for the 100% safe progression (or how many player will check for autosave from 1 to 5 slots)
It would be logical to print message above player that game starts saving (before saving so message will appear first). To not confuse users when game freezes.
I've tried rearranging the load order. Restarting the game. etc Nothing seems to fix it. I've attached screenshots that hopefully help. Also on B42

most of the mods i came accross use some sort of 3rd party software that its kinda annoying imo, yours would possibly be the only one of the kind
