This is what I've been looking for! I've searched the entire Internet, unfortunately I can't write codes myself.
Is it possible to make a version with only one function - survivors remain dead when switching maps. Without affecting the campaign restart and rescue rooms?

Is this compatible with 8-survivors? Doesn't seem to be working - Francis always respawns, for some reason.

I see your statement and raise you my Team Switch/Morph Script mod.

Admittedly it's ugly jank to get this to work in the first place, it's going to take a lot of wrangling with unintended behavior and code to actually implement this into a mutation and patch issues it already has.

You can just restart L4D2 when you complete a campaign, which should reset all the saved deaths.

Is it possible to make a mod after you die where you'll spectate only the level you died on, and then when the next level loads, you'll spawn in as the infected, so sorta like an infection mod but this.

Also survivors that die right before the level transition won't be affected by the permadeath, so that MIGHT be your issue.

Weird, the mod works fine for me. Check if the "PERMADEATH VSCRIPT HAS STARTED" message plays in the console, otherwise I really can't do anything else. You can try the original mutation and see if that works for you.

It's likely a mod you have installed that's conflicting with the script. I'd recommend disabling all of your mods and then gradually re-enable them in segments until you find the mod that's causing the problem.

Yeah I can do that. I'm assuming you don't want every survivor to respawn when all 4 die right? Survivors that started as dead will still be dead after the round restarts.

I've tested it out some, and I for one love it, I do however have one last request if it wouldn't be too much to ask, and that is if it is possible to make this exactly as it is, except disabling the server closing after all 4 die... I find that to be a little too punishing, it doesn't make this mod any less wonderful though, so please don't stress it if you cant get to it or it isn't doable and I am grateful that you've taken the time to post both of these mods, you've done wonderfully truly!
