One of the few maps to truly make me feel emotional just through the sheer act of exploring it

This is magnificent work. You've really captured a memory in a BSP file and loading this map in game is as close as I can get to time traveling back to the past.

Absolutely wonderful map. But there's one problem.
The invisible walls are solid, meaning that bullets and projectiles get blocked by them.
Fix that n' this is a 10/10.
