@Hamarhofud Only once the USA is content complete
Hamarhofud 26. říj. v 19.06
When can we expect to get CSA victory flavor content?
trupizza 26. říj. v 6.17
@CaelReader that is what I figured. I will just add my own modifiers/AI strategies myself lol.

Also another item regarding the Civil War. Sometimes the pro-slavery secession movement wont take its historical CSA states which is fine. However the Reconstruction event that happens when the ACW JE is completed automatically sets all states in the Dixie strategic region as unincorporated and reincorporates all border states. This could screw you over if a state like Texas or Virginia never secedes: it still gets set to unincorporated and you have to reincorporate it again for no reason.

The way I fixed this is changing the ACW start event to create a no-effect modifier “Seceded State” and apply to every single CSA state. Then when the USA wins, the JE victory event sets every state with that modifier to unincorporated, removes the modifier, and adds the Unreconstructed State modifier. Dynamic readmission.

i stayed up way too late playing this mod and was tired all day at work. it was worth it. amazing mod, thank you!
CaelReader  [autor] 25. říj. v 22.34
@trupizza the core game mechanics just have no way to make it viable without obscene buffs like what the Seminole get, other than that theres not much to be done when the game lets you drop 30 battalions into the Great Plains at will
trupizza 25. říj. v 20.26
I think it may be worth finding some way to strengthen the largest native tribal armies like the Great Sioux Nation and Comancheria. I know they get the native warbands modifier which boosts their defense, but that doesn't help much when their armies are 1 battalion of irregular infantry. Maybe they could start with more barracks, or an AI strategy that prioritizes building them. Just something to make the tribes a little more formidable, so that signing the peace treaties with them in the Indian Wars JE is actually worth it. Every time I've played USA I've found no reason to even bother with being diplomatic toward the Indians because I can flatten them in 3 seconds in a war.

But if they had larger armies and a higher kill rate, and maybe some other effects to my country overall, it would at least make diplomacy a viable alternative to outright obliteration.
Human Marine 23. říj. v 14.46
This adds some companies for the US right? I think there's some overlap with the More Unique Companies mod, I've seen two Coca-Cola, DuPont and Singer.

There's no conflicts as far as i can tell, no real problems, but it's weird seeing two. I don't know if there's anything to be done about it but thought I'd bring it up at least.
BeheadThoseWhoInsultKane 23. říj. v 7.47
IMO you can't model opening japan without excessive and overbearing scripting in current game systems. It probably will be done as a part of japan immersion pack of sort.
CaelReader  [autor] 19. říj. v 13.38
current GBR AI seems to open up Japan in the 50s every game anyway
CaelReader  [autor] 19. říj. v 13.37
@Calvin "Freckle" McMurray not at the moment
Calvin "Freckle" McMurray 19. říj. v 11.35
Is there a event/chain for the Perry expedition or have I just been missing it every game?
Nick97 17. říj. v 9.29
thanks!
CaelReader  [autor] 17. říj. v 9.23
yes, 1.10 mods work exactly the same in 1.11
Nick97 17. říj. v 9.18
hello, sorry dumb question, as the new update was only related to the new music i can use the mod without any worries in 1.11 right?
CaelReader  [autor] 16. říj. v 13.53
@Nick Name mexico is actually stronger than in real life in the mod because there's none of the internal mexican strife represented in-game
Nick Name 16. říj. v 13.25
I've played with this dlc many times, but Mexico is too weak.
did you already mentioned at the top of the description, that this is for USA ?
I know. That's why I'm here to delete this DLC.
CaelReader  [autor] 16. říj. v 10.08
@Calvin "Freckle" McMurray Not just FDR, any Progressive president (and some other ideologies) can choose to run for more terms
Calvin "Freckle" McMurray 16. říj. v 1.25
Is there a mechanic that allows FDR to ignore the Washington precedent?
CaelReader  [autor] 15. říj. v 8.52
@Dildo Shwaggins There is no such JE in this mod
Dildo Shwaggins 15. říj. v 1.11
Anyone know how to stop the Rise of the US Steel Corporation? It just ruins my economy, whats the journal entry id for it so i can remove it from the files, i cant seem to find it
CaelReader  [autor] 14. říj. v 21.58
@WillJelle it's in common/on_actions/usfp_on_actions.txt
WillJelle 14. říj. v 20.31
Does anyone know where the code for washington precedent is located? I'm using the realism mod and it has a bug where the event pops whenever an election happen regardless if the leader has had a second or is on second term. I just wanna see if I can fix it but know where the code is. Thanks for help.
Dr.Kitten 14. říj. v 12.18
Such a great update to an already amazing mod. You have utilized victoria 3's mechanics better than Paradox has. Paradox would happily sell this content from this mod as a dlc for 20 dollars. thanks for putting in the time
CaelReader  [autor] 14. říj. v 9.17
@big tiddy goth gf seems so, will fix
big tiddy goth gf 13. říj. v 21.48
Shouldn't the Cheyenne-Arapaho be Algonquian culture, not Siouan?
CaelReader  [autor] 13. říj. v 16.49
@ENFP they work fine when the trigger is checking for true conditions, but the inverted UI of the "show_as_unavailable" event options tend to fail beyond the first layer of data.
ENFP 13. říj. v 16.35
Oh, wow, I didn't realize V3 tooltips hid that much information. Good to know. Thanks for the info.
CaelReader  [autor] 13. říj. v 16.19
@ENFP the tooltips for unavailable event options like that are pretty incomplete unfortunately. You cannot have an anti-slavery movement above 15% support and cannot have a pro-slavery movement above 20% radicalism (yes, this is basically impossible in practice)
ENFP 13. říj. v 15.43
I believe there is a bug in the event which kicks off the civil war. There is an option to "enshrine slavery in the consitution" and it requires that you have a political movement that supports slavery. For whatever reason, even though I have the pro-slavery political movement, I am unable to take the option. It's happened in two of my games now.
CaelReader  [autor] 13. říj. v 9.30
@bingandthebong IVW Navy Papermap
bingandthebong 13. říj. v 7.03
what map theme mods did you use for the preview photo and video looks fire
CaelReader  [autor] 12. říj. v 17.35
@Comstock the vanilla alaska JE isn't changed, so GBR will need a hostile great power with an interest in the Pacific Coast to trigger their sale of alaska
Comstock 12. říj. v 16.35
I have started my first campaing since the new DLC and Alaska has been conquered by the british. Can I still purchase Alaska?
By the way, congratulations for the mod. One of the best and my favourite.
CaelReader  [autor] 10. říj. v 23.03
@Assassin43 abolish the constitution lmao
Assassin43 10. říj. v 21.50
For some reason Joshua Norton can't head an interest group, as he is not a natural born citizen of the country so when an election is held he gets booted out. Is there a way to get him to stay without him becoming President? (I know he can't due to him not being born in the U.S)
Pegleg98 8. říj. v 14.06
I'm experiencing a problem where primary cultures are not changing for the purposes of assimilation. American and Afro American are listed as primary cultures, but everything is still assimilating into Dixie and Yankee.
CaelReader  [autor] 6. říj. v 9.33
@trupizza thanks, I'll look into it
trupizza 5. říj. v 18.23
Another bug relating to Sonora -- if you somehow acquire Baja California and/or Sonora and manually release Sonora as a puppet via the diplomacy screen, the Walker's Expedition event will trigger, even if it has already triggered before. Even stranger is when accepting Sonora as a puppet in the event, Sonora just gets immediately set free. I checked the event requirements and there seems to be multiple failsafes to prevent this event from firing if it's already fired before, but they don't seem to be working
theblitz6794 5. říj. v 13.18
Avoiding the ACW is trivial. Suppress pro slavery movement and build your army in the north
CaelReader  [autor] 5. říj. v 9.49
confirmed vanilla bug, if the CSA colonizes a province in Texas mid-war it won't get properly re-annexed
Calvin "Freckle" McMurray 4. říj. v 21.14
For some reason I got the event for losing the civil war even though i won
Blzmataz4 4. říj. v 18.02
I got the 'Bleeding Kansas' event after I accepted Clay's Proviso AND rejected Popular Sovereignty (I had gotten the 'State of California' event & 'Clay's Proviso' event at the same time)
trupizza 4. říj. v 15.23
Also I ask that you add some sort of debt modifier for the CSA, as when it spawns it is usually severely in debt and the AI never has a chance to stabilize its budget. It results in the CSA defaulting after a year of warfare and getting steamrolled by the Union in a few months. What was realistically a horrifically brutal war for over 4 years is now ended in <1.5 years with no resistance from the Confederates.
trupizza 4. říj. v 14.06
The Walker Expedition event in Sonora has NULL_STATE in its event text and location instead of whatever state is meant to be displayed.
Blzmataz4 4. říj. v 11.55
I just want to point out that the unconstitutional laws have Industry Banned 2 times
CaelReader  [autor] 4. říj. v 8.26
@Forlorn I've pushed a hotfix that should prevent the CSA from colonizing new provinces during the war
CaelReader  [autor] 4. říj. v 8.25
@Bippy You'll have to talk to the VFM devs
CaelReader  [autor] 4. říj. v 7.27
@BeiteBoyo it takes a year for the event to fire with the result
BeiteBoyo 4. říj. v 4.24
might be a bug when securing the oregon trail, and nothing happens. not sure if there is something wrong with my mod load order, or if it's a conflict with another mod i use.
Bippy 3. říj. v 21.34
I have VFM and the VFM compatch.
