this is one of the prettiest gmod maps ever

During the raid on Black Mesa East, Combine forces were able to find Resistance maps locating this exact same area. With no knowledge of this location, Combine forces in City 17 sent a squad to investigate. It was only from this moment that the Combine had obtained knowledge of Port Klax. Various Combine technology advanced to this location including Forcefields to protect against Resistance invaders who already knew this location, several Manhack dispensers and more. During the Uprising, the Combine were hit hard and quick by Resistance forces in this area. Using the leftover ships in the port the Resistance escaped to the coast once the citadel went boom boom. Once they realized they needed to get to White Forest they were a bit too far.

It's not based on any beta map. I based it on Route Kanal in the retail version

most of half life 2 really was just generic props. and not much that screamed in the aesthetic they wanted fully i think. to make a map feel alive. it helps to make the enviroment tell a story. who was here. what were they maybe doing. what is the purpose of this arranged in such a way. so maybe this map could of benefitted from signs of rebel activity. a temporary base camp. rations kind of around. maybe some guns left around. an airboat. half life 2 really had a theme of 'scrap ingenuity'.
