Hi folks

As I've been getting a lot of requests to do custom versions of these and it is getting a bit out of hand, I've put up a fairly simple tutorial to create your own, and I won't be taking any more requests, sorry, I just don't have the time to keep following through on all of them.

I appreciate people's enjoyment of my mods and want to make it clear this is aimed at no one user, this comment will be posted on all of my current mods so people see it. Try it out and have some fun, it's actually pretty easy to do!

If Riot infected aren't spawning you must have something else conflicting with this, check your addons.

nvm i found a mod that makes theese uncommons spawn less

well what i mean is like one with everything BUT the clowns.... or there is one and i havent seen it then im stupid i guess

If you're still willing to make another mod, can you make one without Jimmy Gibbs, Riot police, and Fallen survivor please?

You can try the mud men mode here, I haven't done Gibbs as I'm afraid I don't have the time to keep churning out mods. If this doesn't do anything for you it might be better to simply look for an addon that makes hordes denser or spawns specials a bit more often.

I could, but as I said, the extra challenge from it will be minimal. Apart from the difference in movement they are the same as any other common infected. If you want to try it I can knock a mod out easily enough, but I don't think it'll improve the experience too much. Entirely up to you. If you do still want to try it I'll be able to do it tomorrow.

They behave differently and move differently, but their attacks don't deal any more damage, nor are they any more healthy than regular infected. Gibbs and the fallen survivor are the only common infected that have more health, all of their attacks do the same damage.

The only common infected that have increased health are Jimmy Gibbs and the fallen survivor. Mud men don't have any extra health or any more powerful attacks. Using fallen survivors would be rather pointless as the game hard caps how many spawn regardless of what you could do. I could make one where all zombies are Jimmy Gibbs but as he has 1000 health, it would likely be even harder than the riot cops, as you'd drain a lot of ammo very quickly.

Clowns should be appearing, if they aren't then there might be a conflict with another mod. Check your mod list to be sure.

I really love this mod, I just wanna ask, is there any chance u can add clown in this mod? Other words I hope clowns can appear in all mission like riot,mud,fallen,gibs, u dont need to delete them or anything, just want to know if u can add clown in it too, or u already did I just dont know? I'll be delighted if u can tell me, plz~

It's most likely that it will conflict with those other mods as i'd expect they both modify population.txt, you'll have to disable it to use my mod.

for some reason when i dont have the mod installed it does not change the hordes are big just like the mod insane zombie hordes

As I have explained on some of my other mods, the update screwed up the game's scripting. I have investigated the problem locally and none of the changes I made were able to fix the issue. So I am not ignoring the mods, it needs a fix on the back end from the people who made the content update. So if you're going to moan, get the facts before you point fingers.

theres another mod that adds l4d1 common and l4d2 at the same time, but just not jimmy gibbs

I have a mod that allows me to have both l4d1 zombies and l4d2 zombies at the same time with no crashes. However I also have my paged memory set to low in the settings of the game as any higher setting espcially on custom campiangs and maps seem to crash the game.. Maybe the mod uses more paged memory?

Afraid not, using l4d1 and l4d2 infected models in the same map crashes the game.

Hey! I have a request! Is it possible to release a mod that only encourages more mudmen? I have population mods i like already but I have nothing to allow mudmen in all campaigns?

I figured out what the issue was.

I had some Female Infected mods, and that overwrote this. Thankfully, with a quick uninstall with those mods, this worked again!

Every type of L4D2 infected present in the game, including the uncommon infected

The version I use on my own game still seems to work fine. Have you checked to make sure it isn't conflicting with another addon?

This mod is just a script, it should not crash the game. Try verifying your files.

I also have the CI mod that replaces them with Stormtroopers. These also replace uncommon infected so I can't tell who is who

How come I have a higher success rate with this mod instead of just the vanilla game? lol

I presume you mean something that removes all the specials? I haven't made one yet, I'd have to work out how to do that.

Do you have one where its just the common infected, nothing else? Or do you know of another mod of that? :|
