@GAZ - I tested this again after seeing your comment and had no issues breaking the door with the ax. Perhaps an addon is causing the issue?

I really enjoyed this map, I would say it's one of the more unique ones in the workshop for sure, and feels quite polished. From a gameplay standpoint it definitely does not follow traditional L4D rules, which makes it stand out.

Hello Evil, I think I got that key of crashing. Since I first play this campaign, I crashed at chapter2 like other commets. Then I removed a script mod and retest it everytime. After a few tests, I found that your compaign is in conflict with a mod "improved blood texture", instead of conflicting with other items like "improved AI". After I removed the "improved blood texture" mod, the game didn't crash again. I hope my result could help you and other players, thanks!

you know it wouldve been more of an experience if i went in knowing the lore and it's shennanigans instead of just blindly ranting about my own flaws about it. I went in expecting a horror map as by tag standards but unfortunately i got some flashing colors and a different outcome there. Maybe I did judge the final map too harshly as it isnt the worst ive seen when it comes to custom campaigns, but i got no idea why the hitbox was so off. sorry for the complaint

Seems like you probably did miss the premise honestly. This campaign is intended to be the prelude to Dr. Malroy's Laboratory, which visually explains why you're so determined to kill Dr. Malroy in the other campaigns. The screen effects represent a forced infection, where even those that are carriers who can't become infected in the traditional sense are still forced to become infected anyways.

As for the end, that shouldn't be happening. No one else has mentioned that either so maybe it was a fluke or something. There is a second method to take the helicopter down though. At one point, an artillery shell falls from the helicopter as it passes. You can use that to shoot the helicopter with the howitzer and it will be destroyed in one hit.

This map is complete garbage. From the start i knew i was for a treat when i was given free lsd with the "infected" phases that occurred. Maybe i'm uncultured and missed the whole premise of this map (I searched for "horror" and got this trash), but all the maps felt reused and replayed? Like is this made for dementia patients or something? I did like the scissors tho, kinda based melee, but man, what is this balancing? The ending is so stupid, the guards dont even die when you shoot them (1 guard tanked a full 300 mag of ak rounds)??? Maybe the drugs i got from all the flashing colors affected me upon writing this review. Whole Lotta Red. 2/10

anyone plays this map I suggest you disable tank health addon. It's a nightmare with 10+ tank has 8k hp

Crashes on startup everytime, with sv_consistency 1 and 0. I tried setting graphics to bare minimum, it doesn't conflict with any addons I have (at least it doesn't say it does). Do I need to disable all addons to play this?

Was having fun with friends until we got stuck in the 4th map (I think it was?) where all the tanks spawn in the room with the two garage doors above the lifts. The final tank never spawned to knock the lift wall down. We re-tried the level four times and it happened every time. There were tank noises happening, but the last tank never emerged. (The only reason we know about how it's supposed to go is from watching play-through videos to see if we were doing something wrong.) Any idea?

There's nothing wrong with this campaign, no bug, no crash and it's one of a kind. The only downside was repetitive music XD

Holy cow, I can't believe how much I overlooked in that upload. Not only did I forget to add that model but I forgot to add the witch for map 5 too. The howitzer does work, the ammo falls from the helicopter as it passes. I forgot to add a glowing bit to it so you know you can use it though. I'm gonna try to fix this stuff as quick as I can right now.

I have one more question.Does the howitzer near the helicopter work? I thought it is the rocket launcher device.

yeah, something is fked up with realism i think.
i played this map with my bud and the platform that was supposed to lower on chapter 3 after a tank rush didn't do so. we restarted the chapter through death and lobby-vote, but only after we switched to campaign it works.
so idk...

The map crashes the whole game when I disconnect

Since you were the only one to say anything, your opinion fully influenced the change. So the creek has more dry land in it now, and the helicopter event is completely updated with the rocket launcher that takes down the helicopter in 1 hit. I'm probably going to speed up the helicopter a bit because it still takes forever to arrive but the update is pretty much ready now I think.

Let me know if there's anything else I should double check before October.

Playing in more dry areas is comfortable for me.

One more question. Would you guys prefer the creek area of the finale to have more dry areas or for the water slowdown affect to be removed? I'd prefer a bit more dry areas so there's still some degree of tactic required but you guys are the ones playing this so let me know which you'd prefer.

@Evil Personally for me, the rocket launcher would be great, but whatever you decide is fine
