Even though I set the invuln time to 120secs, everyone that joins my server only has like 5-8 secs max of invuln time. Is there a known mod conflict or a bug with this mod?

FYI I only added this mod to my very few mods (like 10) and now I can't move while logging in so I just get pushed around by the horde just to get eaten anyways???

i am speaking of SP yes - after you press anything after the game loads and you go afk, it still takes a long time for it to load, so i generally go afk or minimise the game during that time. (granted i never timed it, but it does take over 6 minutes for me. that's too long to just watch the game load lol)

.. so yes, yes it does have a VERY real use case.
and yes, you also can pause MP (there's a mod for it i used to use a while back - if every currently online player presses the pause game, the game pauses)

I assume you're talking about SP? If you load the game and go AFK, it won't start until you press any button after loading is done. So what you're asking for has no real use case. This mod is primarily for servers, and you can't pause in MP.

Hello.

I just wanted to report that for some reason, the sandbox settings are ignored entirely. I've changed both the SandboxVars file as well as the in-game Sandbox settings to 90s, but players always have a consistent 20 second interval before being munched on. The one thing htat DOES seem to help is the multiplier, which is odd.

@UdderlyEvelyn is there a way to either increase the maximum time you can be safe for or make it start counting down when a player is actually loaded in? I have the problem where it's taking some players more than two minutes from the time they click to begin to when they can actually move around.

couldve used this mod yesterday when my friend logged in and found himself teleported to a different spot than where he logged off, which just so happened to have a herd of zombies hanging out there, he was eaten before he could do anything and was super pissed to the point of rage quitting and saying he no longer wanted to play anymore.

hopefully this mod will prevent this from happening again

@Sprout: I'd prefer my things not be modpacked, but I promise as a fellow server operator I will not release lots of updates in an inconvenient fashion. If you want to add features or fix issues you run into feel free to shoot me a message and I will incorporate it so that everyone can benefit.

Hello, would it be possible to do that when a player log off? We have many players alt f4 when they see they are going to lose in a fight. If you stay 10 seconds more when log off, people would only do it in safe areas.

It's definitely set up properly to read from the sandbox setting, there's not even a fallback value for it to be stuck on - that's the only place it could derive the 20 seconds from.. Make sure the value is changing in your SandboxVars file for the server and maybe restart the server just to be sure it has loaded the latest value.

There is a bug with grace period settings. I cannot change it to beyond 20 seconds but the multiplier works. I've set it to 0.8 and players have more grace time.

@nigel It's set to 10-16, not default. I set this up 4 months ago so I did not recall. It's meant to mimic text chat range loosely. You may be right that the minimum should be lowered, but uh.. Let's not have a giant irrelevant conversation on my mod's comments page. Join the Discord for the server or DM me on there.

@Pervy Sage It is not the default as a balancing measure. You are not meant to waltz out of critically dangerous situations, you are meant to die. If you really want it, the option is there, however.

@UdderlyEvelyn I also commented on the mod collection page for the udderly server, but I don't know if steam handles the comments on that to the inbox, as there was no response in a few days.

open to adjusting?
The MIN setting is the distance the player will hear other players at MAX volume.
Default 10 is a bit too much, as 10 squares can be in another house.
The MAX setting is distance the voice cuts out completely.
Default is 100, the riverside school is 83 squares LONGEST.
Vanilla settings means that players can voice chat over the entire town.


I think it would be much better to use voice chat with Min ~3-6 and Max ~12-17.
You can run a server in -nosteam and connect to the same server with multiple -nosteam clients from the same computer to test it out.

Invisibility option should be the default imo because even if they don't attack you they'll still stay as close to you as possible (I've seen this used with an admin account, is how I know how it works) so the moment the protection drops they'll start attacking you. If there's a lot of them around you then you'll be dead and that basically defeats the purpose of the protection in the first place.

If it's not too much trouble, I would definitely like to see a customization options via sandbox settings? I play with only a small group of friends and we unfortunately tend to crash out every so often, sometimes surrounded by zombies. It'd be really nice to kick up the grace period so that they'd have more time to get to safety, additionally adding full invisibility so that they don't get chased by a couple hundred zombies :)
