Can they cross typically-impassable objects such as deep water and natural rocks?

Hello ! If I can suggest a rebalancing of your mod, your birds have too much "weight" compared to other animals and are overrepresented on the maps
TurtleShroom 25. jan. 2023 kl. 18:52
Thank you.

@TurtleShroom check out the credits of the mod and my other workshop-items. You might find what you need.
TurtleShroom 25. jan. 2023 kl. 10:36
Where did you get the code for the animal's ability to fly? I'd like to use that for a Mod I inherited, but I don't want to require your Mod as a Dependency. Did you write the flying code yourself, or did you take it from somewhere?

Love the birds, reminds me of when we had a sulfur crested cockatoo and a Major Mitchell's when I was young. The cockatoo was nearly 50 years old when we inherited it from a relative (they last maximum of 40 years in the wild.) Swore like nothing else at first as it had only ever learned swear words from the relative (sailor) but eventually it learned other things to yell out - like my brother an my names from my mother calling out to us.

There were a number of times we'd come running back to our house because we thought our mother had called us back. One time my father was under the car working on it and asked our neighbour to pass him a spanner. The neighbour said that he couldn't because he was dressed up to go out. As he walked out it poured it's tub of drinking /bathing water over the neighbour as the neighbour passed under his cage hanging on the garage door.

Those are some beautiful graphics.
DrKurnis 17. maj 2022 kl. 6:18
I hope you know that birds aren't real. So is this a drone mod?
taciturn(o) 2. maj 2022 kl. 9:08
Do traders sell cockatoos?

YAY IT'S OUT
Karmapowered 18. apr. 2022 kl. 20:22
@Zeitloser You can make it up to us with more of your awesome birds (vultures, hint, hint) in the future. Just kidding ^.^

Thank you for the fix and the quality of your mods. Please have a nice day/evening.

@Karmapowered
Definitly a typo on my side. I wonder why this error got through debugging on my part..
Karmapowered 18. apr. 2022 kl. 14:54
@Zeitloser Apologies for the delayed reply, but my mod list is quite large. Since I didn't want to impose on you to go through it, I tried to do my homework so to speak.

I believe I found a possible explanation to the bug in the following file of your mod :
.\294100\2794752505\1.3\Defs\ThingDefs_Items\Items_Resource_AnimalProduct.xml

<ThingDef ParentName="EggFertBase">
<defName>EggHornbilFertilized</defName>

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe it should be :

<ThingDef ParentName="EggFertBase">
<defName>EggHornbillFertilized</defName>

@Karmapowered
Does the error still persist?

What mods do you use?
Karmapowered 17. apr. 2022 kl. 13:28
I'm getting an error in my log when I launch the game :
https://pastebin.com/QnTi4tJM

Since it refers to "EggHornbillUnfertilized", could you please help me pinpoint the root of the issue ? I'm willing to provide a full HugsLog if needed.

@obsidian29
Have a look at the discussions!
obsidian29 17. apr. 2022 kl. 11:05
Yay, awesome! I look forward to seeing them. Should I lob any other tropical bird ideas I get in your direction?
Zeitloser  [ophavsmand] 17. apr. 2022 kl. 10:20
@obsidian29 - As a proud owner of to parakeets myself your idea is already noted.
Your last suggestion is something I currently work on!
obsidian29 16. apr. 2022 kl. 20:36
Pff, should have thought more before just finishing my comment. XD
Do you think that budgerigars might make an appearance? They're in Bird Up, but I'd honestly love to see them, I had a budgie IRL and I was very fond of her. (I had to give her away sadly, our life situation was no longer condusive to keeping her. :( ) And maybe other colors of macaw?
obsidian29 16. apr. 2022 kl. 20:35
YES! I love this. Thank you so much!
TurtleShroom 16. apr. 2022 kl. 10:47
How exactly do you make it so that birds spread their wings when they move? I'd love to implement it only some Mods I work on, and also for frogs.
TurtleShroom 16. apr. 2022 kl. 10:46
BASED! I was hoping for a Bird of Paradise (that flies up your nose, look up the song), but I am excited to see this quality product in my game.
IceMaverick 15. apr. 2022 kl. 20:17
Aw hellllll yeah, new Birds Beyond. Been loving the Temperate Forest release and was wondering when we'd get more biomes with birds.
Meanie 15. apr. 2022 kl. 19:30
I love birds. I added Bird UP and your Brids Beyond once. Couldn't handle how cute the Cockatiels were, chirping. Then the time came when there was no other animals left on the map and I had to hunt them down. I removed the mods afterwards.

I'd love to have birds exclusively as unique, rare pets to be purchased from traders. So if you ever feel like doing this... :demoneye::demoneye:
BloodW0lf 15. apr. 2022 kl. 15:12
Love your birds so much thank you!
Ranger Rick 15. apr. 2022 kl. 15:10
Looking beautiful
chazwhiz 15. apr. 2022 kl. 13:45
Awesome, my current game is rainforest and I was thinking about my old crow buddies earlier today!
Nouni 15. apr. 2022 kl. 11:32
Nice, I'd been hoping you'd make more birds :D
CiXwOw 15. apr. 2022 kl. 10:06
I've been keen to see what's the next for this series for a while, and you didn't disappoint! Great work!
