I can confirm what Macluk said, this mod currently causes the character window to bug out. Every character is considered married to themselves and has their traits blocked.

@macluk thanks, i was trying to figure out which of the mods was doing that! i can turn this one off until it is updated. :D

I think it blocks traits in the character window - they don't seem to appear there anymore... and the ruler appears twice as if married to himself ;)

Suddenly the MOD works ONLY at the bottom of the playset.

...BUT, if I put it at the bottom of the playset, an other mod (Displayed Birth and Death dates) stops to work !?

If you want the best chance of the mod working you would want to put the mod very bottom or last in the mod list. I just happened to have an issue not getting it to work untill I put it at the very bottom. It was around the middle of 50+ mods not sure which of my other mods needed to be before/above it to make it work.

Can you make pressing the shortcut key to open council window *not* fire when I view another ruler? It's misfiring for 90% of the situations for me as I want to see my own council rather than the character's. I think it's better only to see their council by click on the button on screen, rather than I have to close the character window in order to open my own council.

Place it last in the list of mods... but be aware as that will break something else modifying the same file before. One thing you can try is to check Uni UI as show me your council is supported by it and possibly your other mod that is giving you troubles also might be.

I will not make compatibility patches for SMYC or SMYCP

u can simply add the line:
using = SMYC_council_button
to the window_character.gui of the last mod that changes window_character.gui in ur mod list as per the screenshot in "For modders:" section

Will second Agonisablackfyre's ask around if there is a way to make these 2 SMYC and SMYCP work with the Character UI Overhaul at some point?

This is an off-topic but I would like to have your opinion, Big Uncle ;)

PART 1

The mechanics of the college of cardinals for the papal election (included in the Catholic Trinity mod) could also be used for the college of the council for the election of the REGENT (in case the new liege in power is not yet an adult).
The college for the appointment of the regent could be composed by the 6 members of the council, plus the strongest knight and a best friend of the previous liege for example, for a total of 8 members.
The appointment of the new regent can be based for example on the level of diplomacy, opinion, kinship, friendship etc. of these members.
With this mod, as soon as the new young liege inherits the crown, the player automatically plays the role of the regent (until the liege turns 16).

PART 2

This mod would make the game more realistic and historically correct.
In fact, at the moment, it's ridiculous and absurd that a kid declares wars, forms alliances, looks for a wife/husband or builds castles ...
It would be great if someone could make this mod.
