The moon has it's presence in the caves in the form of Lunar Grottos, so Wane having lunacy in caves wouldn't be too far-fetching. Perhaps his connection to the moon could be weaker in the caves? And another thing - You might wanna place a limit of how effective sanity (or insanity, I am assuming) aura can be, for example; (if sanitydelta < -50, then sanitydelta = -50)
