Pretty good mod! i barely heard the retarder sound from the Zeemods Scania NG Super paid mod now i can hear it clearly and in general it sounds way better and real!

Well so since i know a thing or two around mods, i tried simply copying your interior def files for FH4 to a created folder for FH6 and it i think it works pretty well, since the cabin chassis is basically still the same from 2012 model - at least it looks like it. Ofc your eventual specific tuning will be much better, i'm sure of it :D. But this will do for me in a meantime. ;)

For those that would like to try it too,its not that difficoult process:

1) Locate this folder in your steam library where workshop mods for ETS2 are downloaded, in my case: "E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\227300\2681371293\universal\def\vehicle\truck"

2) Create 2 folders (name must be exact without quotation marks!): "volvo.fh_2021" and "volvo.fh_2024"
(fh_2021 is FH5 and fh_2024 is FH6 in game)

3) Copy folder "interior" from "volvo.fh16_2012" folder into those new folders

5) Start / restart the game and enjoy :)

Note: This change will be overwritten once @Sherman updates the mod.

Based on YT videos yes that should be the case IRL. However ingame I retested it even without any mods and default sound mixing. FH5 is not that bad, but FH6 feels like 20% louder than Renault T which is one of the louder trucks...

In fact, the FH 5/6 has very quiet interior sounds.
But in any case, I will need to do some research.

Tested on DAF XG and it sounds great. I do hope an update for new Volvo FH5 & 6 will come soon as scs default sounds are crap again... so stupidly loud engine and exhaust sounds in the cabin and basically no low frequencies what so ever.

best thing in sound modding, give a very good immersion of actually being inside a insulated cab of a truck, and it hides the most annoying of "engine"sounds from SCS.

This works with all trucks. Place it above all mods.

This suggests that the author of the mod did not add files with soundproofing settings that were added to the game at the end of 2021.
This can only be fixed by pulling the mod files from the Workshop and adding the necessary files, or force the modder update their mod.

i love this mod! I have a question for ANYONE who can help.. Why is it that some truck mods like Eugenes PGRS for example, have major echo in the cabin? like the soundproofing is broken? How do i fix this? Is there a mod thats causing it to happen to truck mods. The default trucks zre perfectly fine

This mod only made the sounds worse. Why does everything sound like it was processed in a cheap plugin? It's like they put a bucket over your head or filled your ears with water.

@NeX My mod only works with sounds from the SCS!

Thanks for answering, but I found another issue again on man e6 i have strange hissing sound maybe it is because I use kriechbaum's sound for man.

@NeX Yes, I know, this is a problem of the Fmod engine, and here I am powerless. Perhaps in the future there will be some kind of fix from the SCS.
