I mean I do agree with that but I don't know how one can stop the Lumerians as is. At this point I think I might just replace them in my games with Riftborn. Maybe I won't get carpet bombed with time rifts like I'm worried about.

I'd try playing against different factions then, you might be better against some and bad against others :)

I'll try turning the speed down but like it's ALWAYS the Lumerians that seem to just completely dominate. They just get "Explore X curisoities" in 4 or so turns it's just; do they just get ships or improvements for free, on normal?

I don't know how to compete when the mod is active; like you NEED that perfect starting system. Mod fixes several things but it just feels designed FOR Competitive which... I didn't even think there was a scene like that for this game but I suppose any game that has multiplayer has that scene, however small it is.

Have you tried slowing down the game speed? It'll give you more time to get used to things. We have definitely sped up the flow of the game by 30-40% by making a lot of things more straight forward, but playing on slower speeds should hopefully make it easier :)

I just don't have the tempo to keep up with the new flow of the game. I do like the changes(like the merc/civilian ships) but it's just a bit too fast for me. I might just need to play on the easiest mode.

What's weird is that it's always the Lumerians that seem to take over the galaxy not like the Carvers or the Empire

@MerlinCross We did indeed get a lot of help from the competitive community but I've always done my best to ensure its fun and designed towards casual players as well.

I like these mods a lot due to the balance and quality of life but it seems geared more for people that understand how to get Carriers in like 5 turns or something.

Lumerians always seem able to buy out the galaxy in less than 30 turns or so, even on the normal difficulty as an example, making the game far tougher than i prefer.

navigate to the ESG workshop folder (it'll be named 2619002053), go to the localization subfolder. Delete Localization/French, copy Localization/English and rename the copy to Localization/French, or change the language the game uses.

hi i don't really get why, but the tooltip for near everything changed by ESG are placeholder or something because of the French localization, i don't mind having all the modded changes in english but having nothing except %industrybonus something just isnt a game anymore, is there some way i can fix it ?

Thinking about using this mod for pvp with friends, we played it on base version a while ago, but the most annoying thing was free movement was too easy to stack to ridiculous levels where we would just start blitzing eachothers capitals and major systems from across the map in 1-2 turns. Does this mod stop it?

The battle changes are the same but the balance patch largely does not contain any of the economy or faction balance.

You can try, it's likely fundamentally incompatible. If you want to try making your own version of the xlp mod for ESG, that's what I would recommend.

I have no clue what could be happening to you, the only advice I have is to not run other mods with ESG unless stated as being compatible.
Also do not have mods enabled if you are playing the beta.

Is this mod incompatible with '16X overcolonization limit increased" mod? I noticed something rather strange, without the mod enabled my overcol threshold is 8, and with it enabled my overcol threshold is 120. 8X16=128 so that might indicate that something is going wrong here. The real issue though: for some reason my game will get locked and be unable to end the turn forever, even upon reloading a save. This coincides with the values in the top left that tell you what you're going to gain/lose going haywire. On the turn before the game freezes while trying to end the turn, the indicated gain/loss for my empire wide manpower goes from being a value to "NaNM" with that capitalization. Then I hit end turn, and the rest of the values become that as well while my desktop's fans all ramp up to max power and it gets locked ending the turn. Does anyone know what's causing this?

Is it a default of the mod to speed up probe animations? I personally like the default speed and noticed once I installed the mod the anomalies pop up instantly.
