its a little cheaty but I've played it long enough lol

i found the initialBeamGunRadius it controls the reach of the matter tool
i said CRANK THAT BAD BOI UP!

try this.. box a powerful enemy up in a dirt box then pour lava in. lava deals crazy amounts of increased damage that not many things can survive.
