Thank you very much TheCloudNine. I totally agree, the specials spawning has always been so OP in this map. I believe it's because of the extremely tight spawn locations as a lot of the game area is player reachable or in-view.

I don't think I ever figured out why the tanks wouldn't stop coming :S It's been so long since I worked on this :D

Definitely well made in many aspects, but I would honestly just recommend this to people who want a REAL challenge, not some easy breezy "boring" map. Special infected spawns seem VERY uncontrolled. Multiple of the same special spawn at the same time, along with about 3 other types of specials, and Tanks appear about every 30 seconds or less. My friend and I keep managing to get 9/10 cans but end up dying due to the extremely overwhelming number of specials, but other than that this is definitely a pretty cool map!

@bobbybirdie04: you can try a couple of things:

1. Turn off all other mods
2. Perform a 'verify integrity of game cache' on l4d2, you can find out how to do this via google
3. Unsubscribe from the mod and download it instead from the 'gamemaps' website (you can reach it via google).

When I try to play the CEDA survival maps, when I launch the map and start fighting zombies, a engine error will happen which causes the l4d2 application to shut down and all it says is this,"1164/ - infected: UTIL_SetModel: not preached: models/infected/comm_male_tankTop_jeans.mdl". @Nebur69: Unfortunately as you can't truly win survival mode, the objectives you are doing are all part of the story-line that explains why the down-stairs of the facility is destroyed when you play 'above ground' mode. Unfortunately you don't get to escape :(

@Texeon, Thanks for your quick reply, it really helped. But i have one last doubt. When we fill the military humvee with gas, do we have to escape then? Because a message says we have to get in but it explodes when we are all near the car.

This survival map actually has two game modes, 'above ground' and 'underground'.

In 'above ground' you start at a CEDA facility in the middle of a city, you eventually make your way into the underground base that has better traps to see how long you can survive. In this mode there is no underground car-park (as it was destroyed following the events of the underground mode) so you won't be able to get to the military Humvee, so what you're doing already (surviving as long as possible) is correct.

In 'underground' mode, you start in the base before the events of 'above ground' mode so you get to see what happened to the base. In this instance the zombies have just broken out and you and the team isolated yourselves in an office so you don't get killed. In this mode, you need to try and get to the bottom level to reach the garage, which you will then attempt to fill a military Humvee with gas/petrol in order to escape the CEDA facility. This map can be treated like a scavenge/objective mode map, however you can also choose to see how long you survive if you'd like, you don't have to refuel the vehicle.

Probably the best map I've played in a while. All of the problems people seem to have are personal. Downloaded this a few years ago, and didn't realize that gun shop roof was breaking it. I'm glad I recently found it with the rest of my mods because I'm having a lot of fun with it. Don't let the negative comments get to you, and keep doing what you're doing.

Bad map, server crashes all the time, then game crashes, tons of lag and the cube thing is confusing and annoying as hell
