It was like 15% I think.

Like I said in a previous post, use this instead: https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2021297623
It gives you a ton of control. 1%, 100%, 5000%, whatever you want really.

It can also apply to tons of other harvesting components as well.

curious how this mod works, what percentage of oysters will be silica and what percentage will be black?

It encompasses MANY harvesting components and is very configurable.

Any way you might add an ini to configure the ratio? How is it currently? Like 1-1 or 1-10? Or is it done via a % chance?

Probably should have specified.

This works on vanilla oysters, found on the island/scorched/etc.

The dev kit doesn't have access to Genesis content yet.
