That will be a no from me, because I have no prior knowledge to map making and I don't specialise in map mods either.

Nope, the maximum "bones" a model can have in it's skeleton that Gmod's able to handle, is 128. On the other hand, you can have as much "jigglebones" as you want, given that the total number of bones do not exceed 128 . Jigglebone is defined as bones that moves within the in-game environment that is independent from the game's original animation set.
The maximum bone limitation can potentially exceed 128 in very limited Source games, usually games that run on a slightly modified version from what I've heard. But for the model to compile and work properly in Gmod, it's best to have 128 bones or less.

Assuming "cut out the model" meant that I deleted parts of the model mesh, I have to. Otherwise I will only be keeping this model for private use and not release it for the public, for an obvious reason.
