The rail will still be visible, nothing can be done about it without custom scripts. It's in the works but not a primary objective.

So is the PU scope in the works? And if it will get ported will the rail still appear on the gun when it's mounted?

Yep, luckily each variant is only used by one weapon, so that makes the PU Scope doable.

I could make a PU for the Mosin, since the 7x Scope is only used by 3 weapons - Mosin, SKS, and FAL, each with their own model.

Allow me to redistribute this to Garry's Mod. Done.

It's a shame Ins Source doesn't have the PU scope for the mosin due to the way optics are mounted for the source mosin, it's so fun to use in Sandstorm and one step closer to being a red army conscript.

i get the white scuff marks which a lot of people seem to get, i have all settings on high so i dont know what is causing the problem

what settings have you guys got to get the weapons to look like this, i keep getting a completely different looking gun when i play for all the sandstorm ported weapon, only the attachmentd seem to look like the images

I'm not knocking your work porting it over, you did a great job and I commend you for it, it's just that I expected better from NWI.

The barrel is too short for a 91/30, but too long for a Mosin carbine like the M38
The buttplate is checkered, real Mosins don't have a checkered buttplate
The stock is cut for a PU scope, but you can't use the PU scope and the receiver is not drilled for one.
The scope mount is literally welded on to the rear sight (why god, why?)
The crossbolt is shiny in the white, it should be blued
Lots of other superficial oddities
