could be your bitrate settings might be too low in obs, though i dont know if that effects local recording quiality. i use a website ezgif.com/ to convert the video into a gif and try to preserve quality

you mean as an animated artwork showcase? ya i build the background and character in photoshop animate them in wallpaper engine and then screen record that animation with OBS, convert that video into a gif, edit the gif to make it loop and then you can add that to an artwork showcase. Its kinda annoying to do.
