Unbelievable. Absolutely love them. Great graphics.
Any way to stop this from happening?
Drain rate doesn't feel like it'd be fast enough to be of much offensive use, yet the rate of it is still faster than the rate at which a vent fills it back up, even for a SINGLE lanius.
Which means they are more trouble then they are worth.
Or at least that's my initial impression after capturing one as a prisoner.
I'll have to see what I can do with them when I'm better prepared (roofless prison, here I go?) and/or more invested (colony worth of lungs or something?) before I draw a more substantial conclusion.
@Aracoa
Mod claims that they do “resist extreme void”.
Though as far as our "scientific fancy" goes it's not the lack of oxygen that makes you die in vacuum, the lack of pressure should kill you faster than you can suffocate.
Also I don't recall FTL saying that they can live in vacuum. Not that I ever dug for any FTL lore...
Nice suggestion anyway.
Lanius' eating metals and similar mineral content instead of traditional food.
They might be good at insect eradication. Though insects are easy to prevent with a cold base and some parkas
