You could try editing this mod's XComCannon.ini to add in the LMGs from Resistance Firearms

Does this work with reskined canons? like the clone wars skins? and with long war of the chosen or does it have conflicting ini's?

The issue seems to be if the existing cannon is reskinned by Iridar's Weapon reskinner, Musashi's animation still recognizes the underlying cannon as the currently equipped weapon.

seems pistol-firing animations really do bug out if using this along with anything that gives a cannon-wielder a pistol

they fire their cannon as a pistol

For some reason the TLE weapons are using these animation for me. Is it because I'm using the "Infinite TLE Weapons Mod" which removes their stat bonuses and makes infinite copies available to soldiers, like the vanilla weapons? That's the only thing I can think of I'm using that modifies the TLE weapons in any way.

Any way we can get this to work with mod skins, in particular RE2 Claire's minigun? I like the look of a classic minigun, and this mod would make holding it look great.

You probably had suppressors on your laser cannons. This happened to me too.

When I used it with LWOTC, laser cannons were silent. No crashes, though.

I want to enable these alternate animations for Raider factions (e.g. Dark Eldar, Mandalorians), but not my own Grenadiers. Is this possible?

I am using [WOTC] TLP Tier Replacer with Visual Upgrades, so Cannon Redux messes up my Grenadiers' animations

Last time i played a campaign this mod has an odd visual conflict with primary melee weapons. Essentially my guy held an axe with 1 hand while his left arm had completely disappeared... Kind of odd :)

Im trying to use this mod for galactic republic weaponry, but in manage mods this mod appears grey and I can't select it, what does it mean?

Just for the record, holding the weapons this way is done (in the real world) so that you can take accurate, aimed fire when you want to, or to be able to use the weapon optic to sight a target or object of interest.. Same thing applies to real world heavy/light machine guns. Some are designed with these types of handholds that allow you to hip fire it easily, others just use a sling to accomplish this, but almost all of them are still designed to be able to shoulder fire the weapon while aiming down the barrel or optic. May have just been a case of animation shortcuts for this game but there is a real world correlation.

Curious why they didn't have this by default, animation compatibility? looks odd carting around a heavy weapon as a rifle.

Is the left arm supposed to be stiff and don't release the cannon handle no matter what? Like when a soldier is under fire they cover their face with his left arm. Also, when using the stance/attitude "by the book" my soldier have twisted left shoulder and with the "twitchy" they have some small spasm/twitch.

And last, can return the vanilla animation when a soldier is moving?

I meant a mod that changes the way they hold it while firing. My mind has a hard time reconciling the way the hold those massive cannons and the idea that they are supposed to be shooting from cover.

Having an issue, not sure exactly where. I've got it set to use TLP weapons for default, and the LMG is being held like a cannon, and firing weird.

Has the cannon barrel spin been fixed? Love everything about the mod except that the barrel does not spin(at least not the last time I used it). But anyways, love the mod.
