It is not updated, but it is unlikely that the mod is the cause of this as it doesn't touch that.
It is a common bug of CK2, one way to fix it:
Go to your Documents/Pdx Int/Crusader Kings 2 folder
Delete gfx
Relaunch client

this mod makes most the coat of arms black for me :(
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 6. juni 2021 kl. 16:17
Not updated. Maybe it no longer works. Try to unsub and resub.

Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 10. apr. 2019 kl. 18:04
@Elendil

Yeah, Western Education pretty much shoved Byzantion aside. After all, it does wonders for their German Emperor's "claim" to "forget" the Eastern Empire survived until 1453.
RC15O5 23. nov. 2018 kl. 16:31
"Byzantines" are Romans, just not Latin. After the loss and devastation of Italy, Italia was considered a frontier and the core became Greece and Anatolia. To solidify this transition of power placement, Emperor Constans II stripped much of the metallic adornments and wealth of the rich past of Rome, Syracuse, and other Italian cities, and moved the wealth to Constantinople. (Ironic then, when the Medieval Latins (who the Romans also referred to as barbarian Kelts) looted and sacked Cosntantinople in 1204. )

@TheWhatNot No. Because they are Greeks.
But I'll consider adding it then.
Aråne 4. nov. 2018 kl. 3:31
does it work for Byzantion?
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2018 kl. 14:18
@Master Jopa
I am not sure how CK2+ cultures work, so I can't really help you, but if you can use the debug mode or look in the mod files to tell me the name (in the files) of the Roman culture group, and if it's, as I think, not the same one, then I may be able to add it.
Knez_Pavle 8. sep. 2018 kl. 10:16
Yes I am Latin > Roman specificaly. I am playing with CK2+ if that helps.
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 8. sep. 2018 kl. 8:55
@Master Jopa
Are you of Latin culture? It only work if your character culture group is called "Latin" in the game files.
Knez_Pavle 8. sep. 2018 kl. 8:20
The mod doesnt seem to work for me. I cave it subscribed and checked, yet no music in game...
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 26. aug. 2018 kl. 18:43
Well, they had the Eagles (on sticks), but it's not really a flag, only the thing that came the closest to it.
Also, they had music, but it was just melodies and kidna bard songs. Orchestration and widespread tunes didn't exist back then.
BlackBeard 26. aug. 2018 kl. 17:38
@Amarock As far as I know, they didn't had their own national athem, nor flag.
Amarock 24. aug. 2018 kl. 23:15
Wait, weren't romans so barbarian that they didn't even had their own music?
Vincente Steele 24. aug. 2018 kl. 12:27
If you actually read the law, distribution for profit is prohibited.
Distribution, so long as one does not profit, should be allowed, unless the folks that made the music did something funky with their policy.
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 23. aug. 2018 kl. 10:21
@John Strategy
Only if your character is in the Latin culture group.
Jean Lannes 23. aug. 2018 kl. 6:06
Are you able to listen to this as the Byzantine Empire in the regular timeline?
Mr. White 23. aug. 2018 kl. 5:27
@phiber optik dude stop playing copyright police
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 19. aug. 2018 kl. 11:03
@pwt4397 I'll think about it if I decide to update it.
Warsmith 18. aug. 2018 kl. 10:14
@Phiber Optik

I think that only applies if he decides to sell the mod. Distributing it like this id not infingement. Its only that if he makes a profit off of it.
pwt4397 17. aug. 2018 kl. 20:27
No Rome total war music?
Shimmer  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2018 kl. 4:21
@Phiber Optik
I know, but that would be a shame.
That's also why I use a downgraded (low quality) version of the tracks used.
I don't think I would have any problem with the Ben Hur soundtrack, as it's super old and I doubt they care about it anymore, as for the other, If one day I am asked to remove them, I would.
Phiber Optik 15. aug. 2018 kl. 0:21
I absolutely love the music, but yeah I think there's a huge copyright infringement here.
As I recall, you, the client bought their material under the digital millennium copyright act, which gives you acces to their material but no right to redistribute it.
Using the mod for yourself is perfectly ok, but distribution ain't.
