It would be kind and generous of you if you lended (lent?) me the source files. That way I could probably get rid of the animation glitch and alter the origin.

No, no, no, the @includeModel trick is used by, uh, mediocre-to-average compilers like myself, in order to rid themselves of the need to mess with the animations and sequences (and wildy rotating cameras or distorted hands): this keeps the original compiled .mdl file as the source of the actual animations. I'll keep trying to fix it.

In my compile there is no @includemodel trick or anything like that.
Must be something wrong with the decompiling or the model does not fit.
Though i can make MW3 ACR with adjustments but i'm sure you want to do that lol.

This might have something to do with the decompiling issues... I've rigged the bolt handle to "bolt" bone, and it floats slightly in sync with the left hand. This happens no matter which bone I rig the rest of the gun to. I still suck at compiling and rigging (I use the reviled @includeModel trick), so any hints would be appreciated.

It fits alright, except the charging handle floats a little during the walk animation. What bone should I weight the weapon base to?

No, no need for reload animations. Just animate everything but reload. It's M60, I rarely play on scripted servers. Plus, firing sound are just enough.

I can make it happen if you don't mind that there is no reload sounds at all.
Unless you want me to make it use custom sound at a price of sacrificing some CSS weapons...

By better I mean that it has serviceable animations that can be used for all viewmodels, and nobody had tried RPD for M60. Good Russian alternatives are hard to find.

Ah... I think it will be hard.
The reason is the M60 shares the same reload sound as the AK, and this game is L4D2 and not Gmod.
It is possible to allow custom weapons to use its own custom sound sets in Gmod but sadly it doesn't work for L4D2 (unless you want to be booted out of every server you try to join).
Maybe as time goes by there is a modder who does know to make weapons using its own custom sounds.
