technically it is a tram and it is running on rails or trolley wire road.

@pickle alas modern Skoda trolleys for me are wotse then modern Belorussian ones (ASKM/Stadler) and I realy don't like Belorussian trolleys. I think Solaris is a smt like paragon of modern trolleybus. Russian ones like Trolza looks well but poorly assembled and have all the problems Russian cars do.

@pauliaxz You should've seen our Citelis/24Tr. The entire interior is made out of plastic and on the busses it feels like the roof will fall apart everytime the bus goes over a bump.

@picke I've not knew that T5C5 has TV1 gear, so yes, you are right here.
@pauliax that's right, Skoda's are outdated now, at least looking at design and high-floor, but I can't say modern Solaris trolls are more comfortable on cobble stone — they are even worse to me. Off course moderan cities need modern vehicles, but I can't tell that it is a "disgrace" to maintain old vehicles as well as Vilnius depots do.

Well, let's say they were technologically advanced in 80s, but now design is too old to be attractive, also sound insulation is horrible, everything inside clatter, open metal parts caught rust, suspension is hard - feeling almost every bump. That's why I said it is disgrace, the sooner these are decomissioned the better, but depots are still full of these.
Also one good thing about it - comfortable soft seats.

@kowka T3M was actually the first. That one uses TV1 regulation. KT8D5, T6A5, T6B5 used TV3.

yep, as Tatra T6B5 was the first serial thyristor tram car. Looking at the time (early 80s), they were not only most advanced vehicles of their types in "Eastern block", but were quite modern even comparing with world experience of the time.

@kowka Well, it was designed in the 1980s, but yeah, in Eastern block it was ahead of its time - to my knowledge it was the first mass produced trolleybus that used thyristor regulation (the first trolleybus ever was Škoda 9TrHT)

I do exactely the same, but it is still too bright sometimes.

Can't agree with "disgrace" statement: Škoda 14Tr is one of the most advanced trolleybuses made ever — they even managed to sell them to USA. They are old but still nice.

Nice to see you have made, IMO, the disgrace of Vilnius and Kaunas :D.

Few things to note:
Overall model is a little too bright, especially wheels, I suggest trying darkening the diffuse before import or mulitply with 50% gray (as I do)
Also windows could be more shiny and reflective

I'm thinking to make 15Tr, but as 14Tr is unpopular (even to compare to my other mods) this won't be my priority. 21Tr and 17Tr are not exported to post-Soviet states, so, I'm not interested in making them.

Did you think about making more Škoda trolleybusses? Like Škoda 21Tr or 17Tr.
