It's sad when good mods no longer have support, and for some reason the saddle add on for this also vanished recently, the page is dead.

There are several bugs from this mod, including the inability to spawn things in Development Mode, having a weird bug where dead pawns are considered dead but act alive and technically still never die, and corrupts any save that used the mod to the point the save cannot even be loaded unless the Giddy Up core and this mod is installed. These bugs are game-breaking. I don't know how anyone would fix this, and I'm still gonna try and fully remove this mod that way I can actually play Rimworld.

With this mod installed, the machine race will remain in an immortal state after being defeated, and will continue to attack villains. This is already a very serious bug.

Hey I know you're not an active modder anymore, but do you still bugfix? I got one where a slave rebelled whilst mounted. This caused them to freak out, be immobilised, get attacked by the mount, was unable to be downed and would die instead, and i couldnt even kill the mount in dev mode because it would kill the slave. Its a pretty damaging bug that doesnt seem to be too difficult to fix, just make them dismount when rebelling (or make the animal on their side which would probably be a bit harder). Anyone else gets the issue where the pawn does the wait for mounting an animal, only for the animal to turn invisible and kick the pawn off after they mount?

running into a bit of compatibility issues I never had with the exact same mods in 1.3

Checking what mod is causing this, the mount button shows but can't mount.

Will take time, I have 200+ mods loaded, all the obvious ones it seems do not cause the mod compatibility issue, its some mod doing changes it shouldn't

@Evono.

It seems that the Mod error checker (which is a mod by itself) picks up an assembly that normally isn't loaded to the game (it should only load that assembly for the 1.0 version of Rimworld). So in less technical terms: the error is completely harmless. I'll remove that assembly though since no one ever uses Rimworld 1.0 anymore, and more people will probably run into this.

I installed the Giddyup mods and suddenly had various errors like AL MILK ( for some reason ) this error vanishes when i revert Pre giddyup and pre Save.

Giddy up! and al its sub mods except Giddy-up Mechanoids have been updated to support Rimworld 1.4!
Giddy-up Mechanoids can't be updated until What the Hack is updated, for which I don't currently have time.

Huge thanks go to cyinghan who performed this update. It's amazing to see the community steps in when I don't have the time to update
all my mods due to other obligations.

Question..... what happens when you kill a raider rider? does the mount become wild and tamable, or does it continue to attack its fallen riders enemies?
In extension, how is the damage directed? does the pawn/animal take all the damage, or is it split between the two?

I believe this mod is currently not working.
No matter how many times I launch raids with this mod, Giddy-up! Core and HugsLib in vanilla, no one rides up and attacks!
Even if I set the option to make the possibility of riding 100%, no one rides and attacks.

I have a question... I heard awhile back that someone had some problems with this mod... specifically involving the run-and-gun mod! Like they had issues involving armor and the injuries that would take while fighting... like while it's comical to get your ear shot off. does seem like other things involving losing an eye, losing an arm, and even breaking your ribs might be a bit of an issue, especially if your wearing late-game armor, of course armor can't protect you from everything obviously. But I'm just wondering if this minor glitch got fixed. And this an intentional feature with Armor losing some of it's power while battle mounting

Is it intentional that some Alpha animals can't shoot when riding on top of them? Sarg told me to ask that question, not sure if you would know.

milord, it would be great if there was a way to automatically get your pawns to mount up when drafted. Getting my 20 strong cavalry unit mounted up manually before every battle is quite troublesome. Love the mod btw, can't play without it.

My mounts don't seem to attack in melee, I've ridden a warg and elephant into combat against wild animals with melee weapons but they mounts do not assist.

Thanks roolo, thats how i had remembered it... now i know what to troubleshoot. Thank you. It doesn't also require ride and roll to get pawns mounted on hostile maps by default right, just core/caravan/battle?

Go to zones, and place a forbid riding area in your room. Simple as that. Also place mount drop spots if you want to designate where non-pennable animals need to be dropped.

You can, if you assign the mounts in the caravan screen. If you don't do that, they won't arrive mounted (but still get the vanilla movement bonus).

Is it possible for pawns to start battle on their mounts after caravaning to a quest spot? I seem to remember it used to work that way (giddy up core + battle + caravan) but my pawns just won't. I'm guessing either user error or mis-remembering, but if it is user error I'd appreciate if someone could let me know how to get them to start on mounts.

Only really becomes an issue vs mortars though...

Fun mod thank you! I would love a feature that remembers what animal is mounted by an individual pawn when drafted. Fights with large colonies take a lot of micromanagement to get going.
