I assume it is already integrated into X2WOTCCommunityHighlander v1.29.0 or LWOTC.

Because in the last campaign I played without this mod and there were periodically 10 of my soldiers landed on a mission.

Is it fine to remove mid campaign? Going back down to six but finding this mod scatters my soldiers all over the place

@Spooky go to XComMissions.ini and then edit any line with MaxSoldiers=8 or any other number to MaxSoldiers=12 .

can anyone answer this im having hte same issue on "How do you edit to allow for more than eight soldiers to deploy? I have edited the ini file to allow for 2 extra tiles and have changed RoboJumper's mod to allow for 12 soldiers in a squad, but whenever I try to deploy soldiers on a mission, I can only select 8 of them." thank you

I keep getting crashes on the Alien Nest and Lost Towers DLC missions, does this mod not affect those?

When changing or updating mods it's often a good idea to clear out your user config files. Perhaps they got screwed up somehow.

I can confirm that for whatever reason downloading this mod breaks character aesthetics.
I tested it on 2 separate computers with different builds,

>First, I had my mods, started up the game, and it works.
But when I added this and relaunched the game, the characters broke.
(Relaunching over and over again gave the same result, even when disabling then re-enabling mods)

But by turning off mods, unsubscribing, and launching the game, quitting out, and resubbing just to launch it again magically fixed the issue so..

Probably something else is causing an unknown problem with this mod from the base game because neither the mod itself or the way it was resolved had anything really to do with character creation...

I think its just really really strange glitch that occured..

This only affects the deployment zone on the tactical map. If you're having problems outfitting a squad then it's not this mod.

Well.. damn... i run 898 mods... so I generally do not complain about errors lol. However over 200 of those are voice packs and another 300 are cosmetic :)

This mod doesn't set the squad size, it allows larger squads you've configured with other mods to spawn correctly.
For any mod to have an effect in game it needs to be enabled in the launcher you use.

I love it when I deploy my 12 man squad and half of them are already on the site t-posing to keep the landing zone clear.

im having an issue where i selected a 10 man squad. and the 10th man appeared under a building un able to move. i have MCM and robo's squad mods. any ideas what i need to do to fix the issue?

Thank you for the explanation. In summary, I can use the Highlander only without this mod to get the same result. However with this mod I can track the change much easier and as I cannot see a reason for this mod to be updated any further, I would not need to worry about my changes being overridden.

Maybe that info would be handy for others, and could be put into your description.

Either way, thank you for your work and a very useful mod.

This mod only exists because of that HL change, by itself this mod does nothing, as only a HL can change that variable, the reason I made this is so that people unfamiliar with INIs and configs had an easy way to change the HL's settings, I also created to avoid overwrites when the HL updates as the HL defaults to off, this mod will always change the HL even if it gets updated unless the variable name gets changed

Hi @Vortex. Has this mod been integrated into the Community Highlander?

There is a setting in the XComGame.ini in the Highlanders Configs the same as this mod. What is the benefit of using both?

It does not get overridden or it shouldn’t as long as the WOTC HL is installed

Does this mod get overridden by other mods? I ask this because I did a hard reset by reinstalling WoTC and the mods of about 500+ and this mod, the supposed fix for that, did not work because my starting squad of 10 are all over the building instead of the landing zone. PLease help?
