Open, detailed, and surprisingly light on the system. Has enough detail to make the map interesting and possess character, but is sparse enough to allow freedom for builders and roleplayers. Overall a very well made and very versatile map. Damn impressive work, man.

Hey there...
i love this map, it's cool to make some military bases or some stealth action but, i feel like it's missing some walls on the outside... the base itself its just too open...
i really wish that it could have a version with some walls (or fences)...
anyway this map is cool, awesome work!

(I was talking about maps in general with NPC nodes in them.) the Nodemapping tool in the workshop has a video that goes with it about how to use the tool, and where to place them, but i dont know if that'll help. I also once found a video on youtube about how to use consol to nodemap, i can't remember what its called thought.

Unfortunately, i can't find the tool. other wise i would have linked it.

Ha! No, you would be right, there aren't any NPC nodes in the map. As I have a bit of free time coming up, I should look into modding this map again. Do you know of any tutorials as to the best method of placement? There is a lot of surface area to deal with...

Also! Though i understand the lack of time issue, (I for instance work, go to school, run a clan, play D&D, and handle household stuff.) it would still be kinda cool to have the map noded. Mostly because, from what i've seen, there arn't a whole lot of them.....or at least i might be looking in the wrong places.

they are connecting points that NPCs can travel on to get from one side of the map to another. (its how your enemies find you.)

The trees are from a custom pack, I'm afraid. However, if you have a .gcf unpacker (GCFScape is good) then you can open this map and copy the trees out of it and use them in your own map :D

I have a question. I am making a desert-themed map, and have recently learned that the palm trees from Cstrike I was planning to use are a bit strange. What game/path/model had you been using for this map?

Yeah, that would be a problem with the map not actually having any AI nodes at all. Due to the scale of doing such a thing, I am only going to introduce them on new maps because I can put them in as I build the map. I am going to try to put them into my new maps from now on, I promise...

I used the Zmod addon and spawned zombies on this, and they just stood there instead of roaming around like they are supposed to (but they did on other maps). Could you, perhaps, try to fix this? (i think it has something to do with the A.I. nodes) :P

Well, it was made to work with HL2 only, so it should work, but I can't be sure as I haven't tested it...

Lamps. But that would lag too much I think, so better not. Maximally lightbulbs built in the ground that would illuminate the path after pressing a button. The basic light effect you get when shooting with a light tool, just applied on a different prop than the lightbulb.

See my comment to the day version of this. This one is just even more awesome for the battles! I would just like to see some light reflectors outside, with switches (if it's possible). Anyways, I am looking forward to the next version. Hope it will be more oriented on water areas and aircraft- hangars, launch pads, helipads, runways, secret hangars...

Don't forget the rooms under the topside hangar as well as the ones in the main building. But yes, the next version is going to have new rooms (if I can find something to take out to get some more brushes to play with) and wire interface on all the points and doors.

just one more thing, would you mind making a v3 of this map with more rooms because this map has a lot of big tunnles and not a lot of smaller rooms underground so its hard to create living and work quarters. but other than that i thought the map was great.
