Autopliot Guide: Piper PA-28 Cherokee 180
By Theohall
Quick description to set Autopilot in the PA-28 Cherokee 180. The "Arm" button is just above the knobs where you adjust altitude. Please comment if I can improve this somehow. (1st video guide I've ever made).

Yah, I like to use VS to climb out to altitude, then set my altitude hold. That way I can set the optimum rate of climb.

Thanks for the comments. Someone told me the GPS map thing during a multipayer flight a few days ago. VS is still a pain. You can set it, but it's kind of a pain to understand what's actually happening, because it doesn't work like the manual for that AP describes. Will try to get an updated guide done, just not sure when.

Thanks for the tip on heading setting! Never occurred to use the mouse wheel! I had figured out most of the other autopilot settings.
I like to fly using GPS. Click on view, GPS, then click the CDI button until it shows GPS rather than VLOCK. If you like the GPS map, click on the switch on the right, just above the knobs. You now have your GPS map.
Still haven't figured out the VS settings...

When I get VS Hold to work consistently, this will be updated.
