Gameplay basics
For those who are unfamiliar, Blockstorm, is a first person shooter, that is rather fast paced.

Basic controls span from W,A,S,D to move, RMB to aim, LMB to shoot, shift to walk, and 1-6 as your weapon slots.
1- primary
2-secondary
3-explosive ordnance
4-shovel
5-blocks
6-knife

In case you haven’t noticed, this game is a mix of CS:GO, Minecraft, CoD, and Battlefield. With the best aspects of all. All weapons can be customized, but unfortunately can’t be broken down completely, only to their basic blueprint(aside from the knife, idk why though), but even then it adds for some creative solutions to your problem. Additionally, all of the terrain can be blown up(with some boundary exceptions.), so if you think someone is behind a wall, just level the whole wall, or blast through it until you kill them. You can also patch and build on the map, using the blocks given to you, whether it's making a little fort, or blocking off the objective, they are helpful. The game lets you “Aim down the sights” of your gun, though you still have to contend with a crosshair, this is where the elements of CS:GO come in, because you have to deal with a recoil pattern to an extent for the fully automatic weapons, which means you have to compensate.
The Weapons
The weapons of Blockstorm aren’t exactly the biggest selection, but for what they are, they get the job done. Also, you can create your own weapon skin, so if you don’t like the weapons design, or colors, no problem, go into the editor and mess around with some of the tools to create your either literal golden gun, or metaphorical golden gun. Additionally, depending on the weapon’s you have, determines how fast you run, so carrying a couple grenades, a shotgun, and pistol, will make you run faster, as opposed to an RPG, LMG, and SMG.

The weapons are as follows…
Primaries:
Rifle
AK-47
MP-5
Shotgun
M240
Sniper Rifle.

Secondaries:
Pistol
Uzi
Shorty 12ga

Explosives:
RPG
Grenades
C4
Claymore
Primary Weapons In Depth
The Rifle:
The rifle is an 8 round semi-auto powerhouse, it's got the most consistent damage, and favors the accurate. This weapon isn’t ideal for close range, but I would still say you take a quick shot before switching to your secondary, or going in for a knife. The rifle can kill you in 1-3 shots, the rifle also has zero damage drop off, so as I said, it's the most consistent. It kills in 1 shot to the head, 2 if your second shot is a headshot, and 3 if you hit anywhere else but the head. It also has the tightest spread out of all the weapons, which makes it perfect for mid-range engagements. Long range engagements are certainly possible, so long as you tap shoot rather than spam.

The AK-47: The AK is a 30 round fully automatic assault rifle, with around average to slightly higher end damage than the other automatic weapons. Like most automatic weapons, it will shred anybody to pieces, provided you can keep your sights on them long enough, as this weapon is generally fairly inaccurate. Though, that can be said for most automatic weapons. From my experience with the weapon, it kills in roughly 3-5 shots, usually more at longer range. My recommendation for using this weapon would be at short or medium range.

The MP-5: The MP-5 is a 30 round full-auto SMG with a lower end damage output than the other primaries. This weapon is great for close range, as you can tear through people like butter, as it's fairly accurate, the MP-5 kills in roughly 4-6 shots, sometimes three if one is a headshot. The MP-5 at medium range begins to deal its minimum damage, and is very inaccurate at these ranges too, I would say the best style of play would be a “Run and gun” style of approach.

The Shotgun: The shotgun has a 4 round tube, that is obviously pump action. Like most shotguns, it can be very...fickle. It’s easily the most inconsistent of the weapons. There really is no “Sweet spot” for the shotgun, in close range, but from my experience, you can expect to kill in around 1-6 shots. Yes, you heard me, six shots. It can only one shot you if you blast them in the head or if they’ve already taken damage. Your best tactic with this weapon is as a flanker, or harassing the other players as best as you can, since it's the lightest weapon, and pair that with the other light equipment, you’ll be running faster than sonic.

M240: 100 round buzzsaw, what more needs to be said. Not the most accurate weapon, obviously, I mean you have 100 rounds, you didn’t exactly take this thing for its accuracy right?

The Sniper Rifle: “One Shot, One Kill.” The sniper Credo. You only get 10 shots, and can only fire 1 at a time. So you better be patient, and accurate else you’ll die quicker than the dovahkiin killing a chicken. The sniper isn’t good for close range, and is rather limited at medium range, because...your a sniper. Duh. There is also about a half second delay when you’re scoped in and go to move, so you need to be aligned perfectly with the person, or you will miss, or spend the next thirty minutes trying to find them again.
Secondary Weapons In Depth
The secondaries, are generally your back up weapons, so don’t expect them to do a whole lot of damage, but they are good in a pinch.

Pistol: An 8 round semi-auto weapon, it can kill in 2 shots if one is a head shot. But usually it kills in 4-5 shots if the person is unharmed, but if your caught with your pants down, and you’ve already damaged them, it can be better than running away to reload. Remember swapping to your pistol is always faster than reloading. The pistol is great for short range targets and some mid range, provided you can hit them, just don’t expect top of the leaderboard stats with just a pistol, unless your in a pistol only server.

Uzi: A 30 round full auto SMG, probably the best weapon to carry if you have a long or medium range weapon as your primary. The uzi fits with just about any load out, as no one really expects a sniper to whip out this bad boy and pump you full of lead. This weapon is perfect for close and medium range, also a great harasser weapon, so do a lot of flanking with this thing.

Shorty 12 ga: A two shot, sawed off shotgun, this weapon isn’t exactly the best suited for any situation, as it has a lengthy cycling time, and reload time, the weapon is only really good for an emergency back up, but even then it's super weak for a shotgun. Though its still useful for finishing off a near death opponent.
Explosives
There are 4 explosive options in the game, each with their own use. The only way to replenish explosives is through picking up the backpacks dropped by your fallen foes and allies.

Grenades: A standard explosive ordnance, you throw them, and they blow up, they can generally kill someone in 1 shot, they also do some degree of level damage, depending on the durability of the block.

RPG: or ruchnoy protivotankovy granatomyot this mother can blow a big hole in a wall, or splatter someone across a wall. Also comes with a scope, so it’s an explosive sniper rifle, the downside it only has one shot.

C4: good ole’ C4, what more needs to be said aside from “don’t shoot it?”

Claymore: these “traps” can be placed just about anywhere, and are often the most annoying piece of equipment, because not only is it aggravating to get killed by it, but to also see the other players who place it in the most obvious spots, it also lets out a faint green laser, that you can trace to the explosive. Which a lot of campers use, but the claymore can be taken care of if you shoot it.
The Plot Knife
The plot knife deserves its own category as there is a lot to go over with it.

For starters, The default knife skin you see in the game, is the hitbox the game uses. So that means when you go to stab someone with your knife, the game will only register the knife’s hitbox and not the skin’s hit box. This makes it very aggravating if you have a sword skin, and you slash at someone and clearly hit them, but the game doesn’t register it, whilst there are times when you kill someone and clearly missed them. Hence, the plot knife.

This however means that if you make a skin that closely resembles the original knife hitbox, you could in fact get more consistent kills, and not feel cheated with your swipe of the knife.

As I stated earlier, the knife is the ONLY weapon you have complete creative control over, so you can make it as stupid or as awesome as you want. Such as making a large phallic bat, or an awesome looking skin. It's only limited to what your mind can create.

If this guide was any help to you, or you have some corrections you want to make, feel free to comment below, and let me know, I will say that I'm not a professional at this game, but I would consider myself pretty good at first person shooters, and have a good sense of how this game works, hence the creation of this guide

With that said, if you have anything to add, as I said, feel free to comment below.

I guess I forgot about those, although one can say the best way to describe a mech, is fly and shoot.
