Introduction
This guide shows you how to center and space out text on Steam. While the example in this guide is for centering text, formatting your text with spacing is also doable.
Step 1
Copy between these brackets for the character we're going to use for centereing text: (⠀)
Once you've selected and copied the character, move on to the steps below.
Step 2
Go to where you want to center text. For this example, I'll be using my custom info box showcase.

Click behind the text you want to center and paste the character I gave you multiple times until your text looks roughly centered.

Go ahead and save. Navigate away from the edit text page and view the page you were editing.
Your text should be pretty close to centered.

Step 3
If you want to get your text perfectly centered, download the template below by opening this guide in a browser, right clicking the template, and selecting "Save image".

There are two methods to use the template:
  1. Download a small program that allows you to overlay the template in real time.
  2. Use an image editing software.
Decide which method is right for you and follow it's corresponding section below
Step 3: Method 1
For method 1, you need a program called PureRef. It's a software that allows you to overlay the template image on top of your Steam profile. Download it here[www.pureref.com]

Don't wish to donate? Type 0 in the price box, select your OS, and click download.

Once you have it installed, open the program and right click in the box to open up the context menu. Navigate to Load > Load Images. Select the template you downloaded in step 3.

Then right click again and select Mode > Overlay Selection, then click yes in the box. The shortcut to bring the background back is CTRL + Y.

Now navigate to your Steam profile and simply drag the template overlay over your text box. Align the edge of the template to the edge of your text box. You'll be able to tell how far your text needs to go for it to be centered.

Since our space character is roughly 8 pixels wide, two more characters behind the example text should get it aligned fairly well. Go to "Edit Profile" and add them. It'll take a bit of trial and error between editing your text and viewing the template on your profile page until you've gotten your text as close to centered as possible.

If your text is off by a very small amount, select and copy this one pixel wide character:

Just paste the above character until your text is centered to the exact pixel.

Step 3: Method 2
To use method 2, take a screenshot of your text and open it in an image editing software. (I'm using Photoshop, but any program with layers will work.)

Open the template you downloaded in step in your image editing program and paste it on a new layer above your text screenshot. Align the edge of the template to the edge of your text box.

You can now tell how far your text needs to go for it to be centered.

Since our spoace character is roughly 8 pixels wide, two more characters behind the example text should get it aligned fairly well. Go to "Edit Profile" and add them.

If your text is off by a very small amount, select and copy this one pixel wide character:

Just paste the above character until your text is centered to the exact pixel.

The problem is this workaround works well from desktop only: if you open a guide with "centered" text will look wrong from smart-phone.
Still can't understand why there is no official tag for this (hey Valve!)...

omg, genius use of PureRef

Ugh, I dont have patience for this stupid method of using PureRef, why there are no bolder anchors to grasp the overlay, only those thin 1px lines, the hell? Not to mention, I didnt found any setting to make border wider in the PureRef too, bollocks...
