brickey.8: Oh I just thought of a way to help force the right solution
brickey.8: Do something to force the player to let that row of fans be on for a few seconds
brickey.8: Like, they power a conveyor that moves something out of the way
brickey.8: that way anything that completely blocks their blue laser won't work
brickey.8: or anything that doesn't put the laser socket where you want it and then shoot a laser at it
brickey.8: the only way to turn off those fans on a delay is to use the cannon correctly, which requires using the second laser correctly, and turning them on in the first place takes a socket and a splitter
brickey.8: that leaves only one, MAYBE two splitters free to make a bridge, which isn't enough
brickey.8: So it's actually a pretty thorough solution
brickey.8: I really only scraped by with just enough of the parts I needed
wildgoosespeeder: my only solution is to lock two of the five laser splitters
brickey.8: the problem is that some of the same parts you need to make the bridge are used to do the correct thing that the bridge is getting me past
wildgoosespeeder: and i need to get the magnefying glasses closer to the air balloon
wildgoosespeeder: or the nails closer somehow
brickey.8: the glasses aren't the problem
brickey.8: The balloon WAS LIT in my solution
brickey.8: oh by the way quality of life thing: Do something to stop the player from putting the explosive above or below the nitro
brickey.8: It LOOKS like a correct solution, but when you do that it is entirely luck based whether the bucket makes it down or not
brickey.8: since a few bricks survive
brickey.8: it comes down to pixel and frame differences
brickey.8: an extra row of bricks at the bottom should do it and get blasted by the missile, and sticking any phyics item in the spot I put the explosive shoudl work on top
And here's the meat of what I said in chat so you don't lose it (my actual idea to fix everything is near the end):
Part 1:
brickey.8: well for starters put some extra walls in the part with that blue laser so you can't block it
brickey.8: or the green laser
brickey.8: the bridge I made across the first row of spikes is only possible because I saved parts elsewhere, if you fix the other problems it goes away
brickey.8: Putting that outlet in front of the other, diagonal blue laser isn't really any different than using the wheel-bobber to blcok it
brickey.8: if anything I wasted a part there
brickey.8: But I just realized you could use the same trick to block the OTHER blue laser and there's no obvious way to defend against that
brickey.8: well no the way to defend agains that is to make it impossible unless the outlet is used correctly
brickey.8: which it would be if you stop the bridge thing
