Introduction
This is a guide to using the Bounty Hunter License in Jets 'n' Guns Gold.

Why use the Bounty Hunter License? Like the Carnage TV Transmitter Set, it quickly pays for itself in terms of bonus credits from destroying the relevant targets. It also allows you to capture the nine Galactic Villians. This unlocks an in-game medal for your pilot, and also a Steam achievement, making it of interest to any player seeking 100% completion.

Special thanks to Maxim R. for his Secrets and Tips guide, from which I learned the level filenames.
Getting Started
The Bounty Hunter License costs 100,000 credits. Look for it in the gadget row below your ship on the shop screen.

You won't be able to get it before the first level. You might want to wait a few levels until you've bought a good weapon loadout and have savings to spare, as bounty hunting is pointless if you don't have enough firepower to survive.

However, the sooner you get it, the sooner you'll make back the cost by wrecking Wanted Pirate ships, and everything after that is pure profit.

Make sure you get it before starting Level 20, where the first Galactic Villians appear. Level 20 is the next level after the jetpack level that unlocks the TMiG-226 ship, so it's easy to remember.

When you have a Bounty Hunter License, some randomly chosen enemy ships on each level will be marked with a green "WANTED PIRATE" target reticle, and will be worth five times the usual amount of credits for that type of ship. Seek and destroy these ships at every opportunity.

Galactic Villians
If you have a Bounty Hunter License, the Galactic Villians appear as minibosses in some levels. Wrecking them automatically captures them, leaving a captured wanted pirate in your Cargo Bay.

You have the option to Extradite them and get the listed bounty, or take their Bribe which will randomly be more or less than the bounty you would have received from the authorities. Ctrl-click on them in the Cargo Bay (same shortcut you use to sell items) to Extradite them for the bounty.

This section details their locations with screenshots, so you'll know where to expect them.

Catching them all gets you a Police Service Medal and the Bounty Hunter achievement.

It doesn't seem to matter if you took bribes from them, they count as "captured" as soon as you get them. You also don't need to have all of them in your Cargo Bay at once to get the medal or achievement, you just need to have captured all of them during the same run through the game.

I hope this guide helps you in your adventures in Jets 'n' Guns Gold. Thanks for reading!
