Introduction
I created this guide in order to help players fixing their connection and NAT Type issues. (Strict or Moderate to Open NAT.)

The methods below might not fix your issues even if you tried all of them but the majority of the people successfully fixed their game.
Method 1 - Restart your router
Try to restart your router. This might work for you and easy to do, if it did not work go continue reading.
Method 2 - Antivirus and its firewall
Turn off your third party antivirus and/or its firewall

Third party antivirus softwares (Like avast, norton etc..) could also cause issues so try to turn them and/or their firewall off.
Method 3 - Ports
Forward these ports in your router:

TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200, 14000, 14001, 14008
UDP: 10000-10099, 3074, 6015
  • To access your router type your Default Gateaway address in your browser URL search bar (usually it's 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
  • Enter the username and password (the default username and password for routers is usually admin (both username and password) or leave the fields blank and click login(most Cisco routers) if neither of these work google it or reset the router to its default settings)
Method 4 - DNS flush
Simply flush your DNS cache
  • Open cmd.exe as an admin
  • Enter this: ipconfig /flushdns
Method 5 - Disabling and Enabling UPnP
Change UPnP settings in router
  • Access your router type your Default Gateaway address in your browser URL search bar (usually it's 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1)
  • Enter the username and password (the default username and password for routers is admin (both username and password) or leave the fields blank and click login(most cisco routers) if neither of these work google it or reset the router to its default settings)
  • Go to UPnP and disable it
  • Apply the change
  • Now enable UPnP and save the changes
  • Restart router
Method 6 - Check Windows firewall
Make sure that Rainbow Six Siege is allowed in the Windows Firewall
  • Open Control Panel
  • Type Allowed apps to its search
  • Make sure that Rainbow Six - Siege: Launcher and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege are checked
Method 7 - Reset winsock
Reset winsock
  • Open cmd.exe as admin
  • Enter this: netsh winsock reset
  • Enter this: netsh int ipv4 reset
  • Enter this: netsh int ipv6 reset
  • Restart your PC
Method 8 - DMZ (not recommended, only if none of the above work)
Configuring DMZ
Not recommended!

If you don't have DMZ setting in your router skip this

  • Go to DMZ and enable it
  • Open cmd.exe
  • Type: ipconfig
  • Memorize your IPv4 Address, it is something like: 192.168.x.xxx
  • Go back to DMZ and for Host address enter your IPv4 Address
  • Save the changes and restart the router

If you don't have DMZ setting:
  • Forward all the ports
  • If you have start and end port option start port is 1 and end port is 65535
  • if you don't have that just enter 1-65535 that means all ports will be forwarded from 1 to 65535
  • Save the changes and restart the router

Here's a good one: If your ISP gave you a shitty router/modem combo that you've configured to work in bridged mode (if you use your own router), ensure that the modem isn't still filtering ports 80 and 443 despite enabling bridged mode.
