They call it a landshark as far as I know. But, yes, you could describe it as a dog-like creature. Two dead versions are hidden in the Interstellar Marines game (one in one of the missions and one in Wargames mode). Living versions were supposed to have been introduced in the game, but slow development has prevented that from happening. It is hoped to still be included in the future of the game, but not any time soon.
