Theve made it so once you on the light the camera pans over a bit to make it a lot easyer.

I never was able to do it this way. I got there by doing a triple jump off the edge of the top of the abandoned building.

Extra advice:

To anyone constantly falling off of the gray dinner lamp (as shown in picture 5), try mashing the jump button just before touching it. Thank god this game buffers jumps.
