Redneck Rampage Complete Patch V1.5
By STShotgun
This is a simple drag and drop patch for the Steam version of Redneck Rampage which adds the music, the missing expansions, WASD controls, and a launcher that loads in DOSBox so you can choose which game you want to play (including the Setup).

Credits and what the patch includes:
Credits:
First up, GOG basically gets most of the credit as I used their version of the game to put the bulk of this together. Additional credits go to Stohgee as his patch was useful for learning how to put this together, Interceptor Entertainment for their DOSBox Steam releases which served as a basis for the launcher, Interplay for (lazily and embarrassingly) putting the game on Steam, and Xatrix Entertainment themselves for making the game.

So, as I put in the description above, the patch includes:
  • The missing expansions
  • Music (for both the base game and Rides Again)
  • FIX.exe and BMOUSE.exe
  • WASD movement (controls can be configured in the Setup)
  • DOSBox 0.74 instead of 0.72
  • A launcher so you can choose which one to play
  • Plenty of add-on maps

Note: This does not install the Cuss Pack since not everyone will want to have it installed, but the files already come with the Steam release so you can drag and drop them into the main folder if you want them in the game.

Note #2: The music can be a bit temperamental. A lot of the time songs need quite a bit until they change to the next one, and for some reason occasionally the next song just doesn't play.

If this happens, a fix for this is saving where you are in the level, starting a new game, then re-loading your save.

You can also simply change to another song through the 8-track player in the Sounds menu, but from testing it, it doesn't seem to let the songs change to the next one (but maybe this is also occasional).

Note #3: For some reason I'm unable make the music work if RA was launched through the setup, so you'll have to run RA directly and enable the music with the in-game 8-Track Player.

Installing this just involves dragging and dropping the files into the game's root folder. Make sure you do this on a clean install from Steam. You'll be asked if you want to replace the files when doing so, so tell it to replace all of them.

Enjoy!
After replacing all the files, it should be done! Enjoy Redneck Rampage on Steam!

Changelog:
V1.0:
  • Initial release

V1.1:
  • Changed the machine in dosbox.conf from svga_s3 to vesa_nolfb.

V1.2:
  • Lowered the music volume so you can enjoy the sound effects more. The [autoexec] of dosbox.conf now has these settings for each game: 'mixer cdaudio 50:50'. You can tweak the settings to whatever you like.

V1.3:
  • Extra content! Now contains plenty of add-on levels for RR (a handful of map-packs & 50+ individual maps).
  • Also added -noconsole to the .bat.

I would've added some more map-packs but for some reason having more than 4 caused DOSBox to crash on startup so I had to make do.

V1.4:
  • Re-added the missing files from RR's recent update.

V1.5:
  • Made a few tweaks to RR & RA's configs.
  • Also added a note in the RA section of the launcher about running it with the music. See Note #3 above.

I have fought with dropbox for an hour and a half. I have tried installing it on multiple machines, on multiple browsers, on the dropbox app, I've cleared my cache and my cookies, I've reset my PC, I've reset my router, my internet speed has been fine, and yet every time I download this god forsaken folder it says 'site is unresponsive' or 'check internet connection'. I have tried quite literally everything I can think of, and the help center for dropbox is stuck behind a paywall. I am lterally begging on my hands and knees, how in the holy mother of god do you download this patch

Sup, the patch works fine for me, but it seems that I can't be able to either save or load my game, it just dissapears out of nowhere, is there anything that I have to configure to be able to save? Even with hotkeys it happens the same thing.
Thank you for the patch, it works greats and as for my experience, I haven't got any issues or bugs, but it's dissapointing that I can't be able to save my game.

Okay I found the solution about no sound in dosbox: you have to change your SDL_AUDIODRIVER environment variable to "dsound" and reboot. Did the trick for me.
