Bretonnian Hills- A Test of Chivalry

Nestled deep in the rolling hills of green Bretonnia, a test of chivalric virtues is underway. Invaders strike at the vulnerable peasantry, the Lady's very bread basket. Already, the flames of their incessant raiding can be seen from the local castle and it falls to the land's defenders to dispatch of this incursion.

The castle poses a mighty defensive position, her walls strong and untested. You could fortify here and force the enemy to meet you on favorable terms; after all, crops can be resown and homes, rebuilt, but a defeat here would mean a great loss for the kingdom. Lives may be lost, but what are the deaths of peasants when compared to the loss of a castle?

Chivalry, though, would demand alternative action. The most sacred and holy of Bretonnian laws demands that you ride out and face this invader head on, driving them from these lands with righteous fervor. There are yet settlements, unpillaged, whose shield you are sworn to provide. Will you put honor before all and crush this foe, or abide by another path? The choice is yours, prove your valor.
