Information about the Soundtrack

The Portal 2 soundtrack was released in three volumes: The first, titled Volume 1, was released on May 25, 2011; Volume 2 on July 1, 2011, Volume 3 on Sept. 30, 2011.

Now collection edition "Portal 2 Songs to Test by Soundtrack" CD box is deleted from Store. ValveSoftware!

It is a flattened Wheatley core with a glowing blue eye, that has voice lines which are activated upon certain circumstances such as deploying a Sapper, death, and more. The eyelid of the Ap-Sap moves as it talks and widens when in range of a sappable building. This weapon functions identically to the Sapper.

We are all gamers - collectors, we spend thousands - tens of thousands of dollars on our favorite games in virtual and real terms, so I think this is a real small price for a real collector's edition of our favorite game.

Since it's that expensive all of the sudden (I bought it for like 20 eur few years ago, and now you are suggesting above 100 usd as a value) I will probably withdraw my plan of trying to sell it extra cheap on a country-limited market (lol, I wasn't 100% sure if I still want to have it or not, and I am kind of financially starved atm, but if it's THIS valuable then I will likely keep it for longer [since in my country-limited market nobody cares and nobody would buy it this expensive anyway]).

I already own the collector's edition, just without the code. I bought it for around 15$ 2 years ago, is it really that expensive nowadays?

I have an extra copy of the Collector's Edition with no code inside. I can sell it for $ 120 + shipping to you.
I can also guarantee that this is a completely new edition without a code inside, and I received it from Valve's hands, giving them my love, and you have a chance to get it out of my hands and give me your love and a token amount. :)

Many years ago I received 2 copies of the Collector's Edition from Valve. Also many years ago I activated the codes that are inside. It was a really rare limited edition. If you got it from Valve - there is a code inside 100%.
Currently at auctions you can buy either a used edition or a completely new one, but without the code inside, since someone pulled them out before you.

Very unfortunate, but even if you buy this product completely new, it does not include any of the codes for bonus content. Still, having the soundtrack on CD is a great thing!

It used to be on ebay. Tho it doesn't seem to be available atm ( tho keep an eye on it, use barcode if name search doesn't show anything, you can get barcode here https://vgmdb.net/album/35660 ).
For that matter it doesn't seem to be available in some other places too.
Lol. I wonder when this got so sold out to this degree.

Iirc Valve only ever made this run, and afaik there never was "no codes" edition.
But perhaps I'm mistaken.
Afaik there were some factory mistakes and in some copies codes were missing.
Also some merchants stole them from packaging and repacked stuff.
When I bought my copy it was supposed in original foil, and it was in SOME foil (not sure if original) but I didn't have codes (but that was several years ago, still got the copy btw).

Either way, this ost is rather old now and getting a copy in original foil would be rather hard probably (I mean a copy that is in REAL factory foil, not some "pretended" one).
