The author of the ship i modified is Spets and the original ship is called the Simplicity http://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=441931454 i found one floating in a server once as an exploration trophy and it was love at first sight. the multi purpose design of the ship, the elegant lines, the whole thing is just great. if you like this please go give the original a thumbs for me (and Spets of course).

However the original design has not been updated (at least publicly) since before jump drives were release. i have modified the ship in many ways to bring it up to date, and to augment and reinforce some of the minor flaws that cropped up through regular use, and additions made as game updates were released. Spets was kind enough to allow to me to publish this design under a new name: The Complexity. it is intended to be a natural evolution of the Simplicity. :)

POWER: 2 Large Reactors, 1 Small Reactor (emergency only), 8 Solar Panels, Many Batteries spread throughout the ship. the small reactor is just incase the passenger area is sperated from the main body of the ship. it can seal up and become a life raft of sorts although it has no propulsion. the large reactors are in the engine nacelles

PRODUCTION: 1 Refinery, 1 Arc Furnace, 1 Assembler. Same as the original design and upgraded the same way. as a jack of all trades ship i saw no reason to add more then what was already there.

WEAPONS AND DEFENSE: 4 Fixed Missile Launchers, 1 Manually Operated Missile Turret. 15 Gating Turrets, Spherical Gravity Generator Deflection System. The missile turrets have a bad habit of doing more harm then good to there own grid so i removed all but one and moved the one i left to the under side of the nose so it can be fired manually. i have added a few more gatling to compensate. 15 may seem excessive but the placement oif them is actually spread quite well. 2 upper and 2 lower on the engine nacelles near the end for thruster protection and rear attackers, one trurret directly over the hangar door. facing rear, 4 underside turrets (two on each side), 6 topside turrets (three on each side). there are interior defense turrets as well but not too many. don't want to scare the passengers.

LIFE SUPPORT: 4 Oxygen Generators, 6 Oxygen Farms, 5 Oxygen Tanks, 5 Cryo Chambers. I added 2 more oxygen generators to help refuel hydrogen tanks while out and about. 4 cryo chambers are intended for crew use and the forward one is meant to be for the passengers if there is an emergency. alternatively the cryo tubes make a great brig....

PROPULSION: 9 Jump Drives, 8 Small Hydrogen Breaking Thrusters, 2 Large Hydrogen Boosters, 4 Hydrogen Tanks, Many Ion thrusters. This ship is not capable of landing on planets. ATMO IS A NO NO! the large hydrogen thrusters are for getting up to speed quickly and the breaking thrusters are there to help you slow back down. once at a destination its intended to use ion thrusters for basic maneuvers like docking. if you are careful and not too laden with cargo you can land on an airless moon but doing so will definitely void your warranty. Hydrogen tanks are in the engine nacelles.

COMMS: 1 Antenna, 1 Beacon, 2 laser antenna (Upper and Lower). I may put an extra beacon in the ship just to have a spare. and i want to put a spare antenna in the engineering section but i am still trying to finesse one in there.

PASSENGERS, CREW, AND CARGO: 16 Passenger Seats, 1-6 standard crew with crew quarters (Captain, Pilot, Copilot/Navigator, Security/Gunner, Engineer, Host/Flight Attendant when moving passengers) 3 Large Cargo Containers, many small containers around the ship.

FEATURES & UPGRADES: Reinforced Engine Pylons, Decentralized Auxiliary Power, Forward and Rear Observation Lounges, Ship Layout Screen with Damage Scan, Automatic LCDs 2, Simplified Airlocks, Forward and Rear Outter Cameras, Hangar capable of holding 1 or 2 small fighters and / or a few drones for any purpose, Remote Control / Autopilot, Ore Detection, Engine Maintenance Access(space suit required), Long Jump Range, Luxury Design. Plus More.

@Wolverine: thank you very much! when i found the original derelict i felt the same way. upgrading and updating it was really fun. if you have the decoration dlc check out that version too. its a good ship for a crew of players to use. :) kind of makes me want to reinstall SE and find a group to game with. anyway i hope you enjoy it as much as i have. 07

Just found the original Derelict ship, me and my friend think its one of the best ships we have ever ran into. It was also powered off. I came to the workshop to see if there was a blueprint, cause soon as i powered it on, pirates blew up the forward top lol. I see your version is updated from the 2015. Very nice...very nice.
