Makeshift Axe - Craft your own starter axe

解説
Isn't it dumb that you can craft saws, buildings and even cars in-game but you can't craft one of the oldest and most essential tools in human history? Now you can.

Have you ever thought it was stupid that you had to search for ages before you found a camp axe or a fire axe? Or did you get murdered by well equipped players who were camping at towns before you could get an axe?

This is a makeshift Axe that you can craft with sticks and metal scraps so you can have a fair start with a basic melee weapon. No longer do you have to absurdly keep beating trees down with a baseball bat or a hockey stick.

Requires one stick (Maple, Birch or Pine) and 3 metal scraps. Appearance remains the same whatever sticks you use.
Item ID is 36420. In case you want to spawn it in.

The stats are made slightly worse than a Camp Axe for realism.

Won't let me make it. I literally had to crash my car into a tree to get 1 stick, and I can't make it. Isn't even in the crafting menu.

Just duck into a nearby fire station and all of the items in your inventory get replaced with fire axes.

cant you have diffrent stuff? like a paddle, break it down, boom you have sticks for your axe, you should add pine, birch, etc. thats my only suggestion. even though this is pretty good thanks!

i though fire axe dont have any tree chopping bonus

Yes. You do. This question has been asked in the comments before and I have replied in more detail there. But in summary, yes you might need to break one tree somehow, but after that you're good to go. Sticks are the most standard way to craft the axe. Using any other material would depend on having that item in the map. I could make recipes to decraft rakes etc to give sticks. But I think there are decrafting recipe mods out there that do that already.

Still, Id rather beat down one tree as soon as I start and equip myself with an axe. Rather than struggle with bats and rakes until I find the surprisingly rare axe. Its easier to find a gun than an axe lol.
